Is this the same thing as the Mushroom World? Seems like it.Knife (talk) 21:00, 23 February 2007 (EST)

Never mind, I see the info has been split here. But why create another article? It is still conjectural.Knife (talk) 21:02, 23 February 2007 (EST)

Which?[edit]

Which new game says that the Mushroom Planet is the same as Earth? Phoenix Rider

Well Luigis mansion has a globe of Earth, Mario Party 7 has boards that are real places on Earth (Pyrimid park) In Paper Mario it is referred as earth, same with Super Mario Sunshine. Plus when has it stated they are different? Anyway there is the moon whoch is probably the same moon.

They're two different planets.
Period.
- Yoshi Master

Are they?. Mada Mada Dane...

look out your window. do you see walking, talking mushrooms? floating bricks? evil turtles? Max2 (if you do, I have some advice. get some sleep.)

At the very least, the Mario cartoons, movie, and comics seperated Earth from Mario's world. -- Son of Suns

Yeah but the movie cartoons and so on are alternate cannon.

What proof do we have that they are different planets? -Pal101

True but this is fiction. Earth could be different in this universe. Plus there is a walking mushroom outside right now... wait thats my sister.

Mario is FROM our Earth. This is stupid case closed now.
- Yoshi Master

Ummm yeah, that doesn't help at all. I'd say that Mario was born in the Mushroom Planet.

No look, born in the Mushroom World, went to our Earth, came back to the Mushroom World. Indicating there's 2 separate planets. And yes he did indeed go to Earth.
- Yoshi Master

Do you have any proof?
I am Confused 15:31, 15 April 2007 (EDT)

Read Brooklyn.
- Yoshi Master

Note that guidebooks and MIM are low canon.
I am Confused

Okay.... is there any reason why it should be the same place as earth, besides earth possibly being visualized differently in the Mario series.
- Yoshi Master

The thing is that we don't know whether Mario was born on the Mushroom Planet or Earth. Unless it is revealed in a videogame that Mario was even previously living/born in Brooklyn, it is unknown. Note that The Stork delivered Baby Mario and Baby Luigi on the Mushroom Planet. Movies, TV Shows, Mario is Missing, Hotel Mario, or anything else not made by Nintendo are considered alternate canon. End of discussion.

In Luigi's mansion there is a globe of Earth. It's called Earth several times in the first 2 Paper Mario's. Also according to Paper Mario 2 it also has loss of fossil fuels and ozone layer depletions. Coincedence. no. Besides what cannon source calls it a different place.

Part-conjecture?[edit]

Was this ever officially named Mushroom Planet? How can it be part-conjecture and not full {{conjecture}}? - Cobold (talk · contribs) 11:17, 18 July 2007 (EDT)
