Metro Kingdom = New Donk City?

Isn't New Donk City just a part of Metro Kingdom, not the entire kingdom itself? That seems to be what Nintendo's implying, judging by the fact that they're given different names. If that's the case, this should be merged with New Donk City, as there could be locations within the Metro Kingdom other than New Donk City that Mario can visit that they haven't shown us at E3 (and to be on the safe side, the Power Moons should've just been listed on that page in the first place, anyway). I would agree that what is on here now should be merged, as the atlas shows New Donk City inside of the Metro Kingdom, so I don't think they are the same. --A sprite of a Flame Chomp from New Super Mario Bros. Wii.TheFlameChomp (talk) 08:53, 25 June 2017 (EDT)

Regarding the Donkey Kong game Tweet

I think how we've explained this Tweet sounds a little speculative. The city has referenced the original Donkey Kong game a few times, but I haven't seen anything that says this is the city were the game took place. While that may be true come Oct. 27th and that may be what it's hinting at, I can't tell that from the Tweet currently and definitively. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 18:58, 12 October 2017 (EDT)

Well, now that the game has been released, we have footage of "A Traditional Festival", which is "a celebration of the history of our city", and it's DK themed. So that could mean that the whole Donkey Kong situation has happened in this city, in the past.

Is it possible that Big Ape City is a place in the metro kingdom, and not New Donk City? --EldritchdraaksSig1.pngEldritchdraaksSig2.png 02:13, 6 November 2017 (EST)
Given that place doesn't exist in any franchise that I'm aware of, I don't think that question can be properly answered. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 02:23, 6 November 2017 (EST)
Donkey Kong Country: Rumble in the Jungle says Big Ape City is located on Donkey Kong Island, and that Cranky had fought Mario there. Tiptup Jr. Tiptupjr.jpg 18:03, 26 November 2017 (EST)

I highly doubt that Donkey Kong takes place in NDC. JoeRunner (talk and stuff) 13:31, August 12, 2019 (EDT)

On the topic of real life references.....

Is it possible that the artificial island NDC is on is a reference to Ellis Island in New York/Jersey? --File:Strollin' Stu.png BoygeyMario File:SMS Smolderin' Stu.png 15:13, 26 March 2018 (EDT)

Gallery

you have enough images on that whole page that you should be able to give it it's own page gallery right? CappyThrow (talk) 18:42, 19 December 2018 (EST)

Nah, I don't think there's enough for that. Not in the main gallery section, anyway. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 19:19, 19 December 2018 (EST)
