Claiming they're seperate Merluvlees

Why are we fully claiming Merluvlee from the three games she appears in to be separate individuals. That may've just been mere speculation by Wonky because let's face it he is a bit old, he may've just wanted to add some interest into the story. I don't think it's best to go claiming something seeing as it's just a rumor and isn't confirmed. I think the same issue is going on on Merlon's page.
