Baby Mario and Baby Luigi?

So far, there's no evidence that either will appear in Mario Party 8. I'm removing them unless some credible evidence comes forward. As far as I know, the game hasn't even been announced yet. Waluigi Freak 99 17:38, 11 September 2006 (EDT)

It has been announced now! Hammer Bro. is in it, Mr. inactive user. Little Mouser.PNGPaper Jorge (Talk·Contribs)

Important Announcement

Since there are more than 600 mini-games in the Mario Party series. Do we really have to have 600 short articles about them? I think an easier method is to make pages like Mario Party (minigames), Mario Party 2 (minigames), etc.. Since there is a very large amount of mini-games wouldn't having 600 articles be a pain?Knife (talk)

Yeeeeep. Same here. 3dhammer.gif 3D, same'd! 3dhammer.gif

Ryan Repiles: Yeah, I guess so; after I finsh putting articles of Mario Party 1 minigames; BTW, my toolbox (when editing/creating an article page) is gone, did I do something wrong?

Look in My Preferences (top of the page). You might have the toolbox box, under editing options, unchecked. -- Shyghost.PNGChrisShyghost.PNG 17:16, 13 March 2007 (EDT)

Comment..

RAP repiles: Is it okay to add info about Mario Party's features (All of them)?

EXAMPLE
*Mario Party 2: Item Mini-games introduced
*Mario Party 4: Item Mini-games are removed for unknown reason...
*Mario Party 6: Item Mini-games are not reason
Sure. That would make this a much better page. Don't do it by game, but by common features in all games. -- Son of Suns

Rewrite Accpomplished?

Is this revision accomplished well enough for the rewrite request to be removed? Eggbert

Character Template

Should there be a Template with a list of Playable Characters in the Mario Party series? Or is it pointless? It seems helpful, what do you people think - My Bloody Valentine

I don't mean to dampen your spirits, but I don't think that's very good idea. Half of them are obvious and don't look good with the Big Eight template above it. Of course it's your choice, you do what you want.Knife (talk) 22:31, 11 June 2007 (EDT)

Hmm, good point. Either way, I'm not too good at making Templates, so who cares. I'll just forget that Template, to be honest, I thought it would be wierd as well, I just wanted to see what others had to say. Thanks. - My Bloody Valentine

Playable Template

In that template with ticks and crosses it shows Goomba,Shyguy,Toad,Boo,Koopa,Mini Bowser and Bowser playable in mario party 4 but there not.Artwork of Dry Bones from Mario Party 8.Super Yoshi10Artwork of Yoshi in Mario Party 8 (later reused for Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games)Lookey ThisBlack Yoshi Move.gif

Firstly, you mean table not template. Secondly, if you were to pay any attention at all, you would notice that those characters have a "1" next to the Tick. If you scroll down, you will notice the "1" means they are ONLY playable in Beach Volley Folley. Maybe you should focus a bit more. My Bloody Valentine

Well sorry! I didn't know that because I didn't get that far when I rented it Rainbowyoshi.gifArtwork of Dry Bones from Mario Party 8.Super Yoshi10Artwork of Yoshi in Mario Party 8 (later reused for Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games)Lookey ThisBlack Yoshi Move.gif

That information is on the article, you should've read the whole article before talking here. My Bloody Valentine

Miis

Miis are playable in some parts of Mario Party 8. Players can use Miis in any "Extras Zone" minigames unlocked via the "Fun Bazaar". TJ Spyke 00:37, 25 March 2008 (EDT)

Super Mario Fushigi no Janjan Land

I found out that Super Mario Fushigi no Janjan Land is absolutely not a Mario Party game! I edited the article, but I don't know how to remove it from the Mario Party category. Can someone do that? --Kombatgod 20:17, 4 January 2009 (EST)

Ok Ill do that. Thanks. Super-YoshiMust...eat...sig...Talk? C???

That template is messed up

I think that character template is messed up, it shows Bowser not being playable in MP8 and he was. That happens with a few other characters also. Does anybody know why?
The preceding unsigned comment was added by Doctorseaweed (talk).

  • From Waluigi vs Wario: The only Mario Party game that ever had Bowser playable was Mario Party 4, and even then only in Beach Volley Folley. So I don't know what you are talking about.

False Trivia

Mario Party is not the only game to have Control Stick rotation in its minigames. What about Vicious Vending from Mario Party 5? Bspald95 (talk) 16:27, 23 August 2012 (EDT)

There are also minigames from MP:IT to have this feature (Cannonball), but I'm not 100% sure that they are the same thing... in which minigames are they? YoshiCGicon.pngTSUNAMIArtwork of Plessie with the four playable characters, from Super Mario 3D World.

AR Space

Where is the AR Space in IT? I cann't found it :/ YoshiCGicon.pngTSUNAMIArtwork of Plessie with the four playable characters, from Super Mario 3D World.

Mario Party DS Hosts

In Mario Party DS, there are no hosts, so why in the list of hosts it's written Wiggler, Toadette, Diddy Kong, Kamek and Bowser? This is not hosts.

Do we need to change it to no hosts, because this is a mistake? --LudwigVon (talk) 13:02, 22 January 2015 (EST)

Mario Party series game order

In case you forgot, here is the order of all the Mario Party games: Mario Party, Mario Party 2, Mario Party 3, Mario Party 4, Mario Party 5, Mario Party 6, Mario Party Advance, Mario Party 7, Mario Party 8, Mario Party DS, Mario Party 9, Mario Party: Island Tour, Mario Party 10, and Mario Party: Star Rush. You don't have to make too much of this, it is just a friendly reminder and nothing more. Lcrossmk8 (talk) 21:16, 10 December 2017 (EST)

"You don't have to make too much of this, it is just a friendly reminder and nothing more." <- What happens when you copy/paste from a user talk page. Anyway, including other handheld titles and arcade releases, this would be the actual list:
English Japanese
Mario Party Mario Party
Mario Party 2 Mario Party 2
Mario Party 3 Mario Party 3
Mario Party 4 Mario Party 4
Mario Party-e Mario Party-e
Mario Party 5 Mario Party 5
Mario Party 6 Super Mario Fushigi no Korokoro Party
Mario Party Advance Mario Party 6
Mario Party 7 Mario Party Advance
Mario Party 8 Super Mario Fushigi no Korokoro Party 2
Mario Party DS Mario Party 7
Mario Party 9 Mario Party 8
Mario Party: Island Tour Mario Party DS
Mario Party 10 Mario Party Kurukuru Carnival
Mario Party: Star Rush Mario Party Fushigi no Korokoro Catcher
Mario Party: The Top 100 Mario Party 9
Mario Party: Island Tour
Mario Party 10
Mario Party Fushigi no Challenge World
Mario Party: Star Rush
Mario Party: The Top 100
Assuming I put this together correctly, Mario Party DS is the twelfth English Mario Party and the thirteenth Japanese Mario Party. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 21:38, 10 December 2017 (EST)
EDIT I did not put that together correctly, hold on.
Okay, fixed. Had 8 on twice and forgot Top 100. MPDS is the eleventh title in English. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 21:41, 10 December 2017 (EST)

What?! MPDS is NOT the eleventh title in English! Remember, Mario Party-e does not count! Only the consoles and the handhelds are part of the main series, and the rest are just add-ons. Lcrossmk8 (talk) 21:47, 10 December 2017 (EST)

How does Mario Party-e not count? Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 21:48, 10 December 2017 (EST)
It's not an actual game, it's just some reader device or something. Anyway you put it, it is not an official game like the console games or handheld games are. Lcrossmk8 (talk) 21:57, 10 December 2017 (EST)
It was released by Nintendo, has the Mario Party brand, is a game... Seems legit to me. But if you want the "main" Mario Party games, that would be the numbered titles, none of the others. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 21:59, 10 December 2017 (EST)
How in the world do the handheld games not count? Aren't they supposed to be part of the main series as well and not add-ons? Because generally, people tend to agree that the "main" installments are the console and handheld games, and nothing more. Lcrossmk8 (talk) 22:13, 10 December 2017 (EST)
My point is that they are all Mario Party titles. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 22:23, 10 December 2017 (EST)
Handheld games aren't considered part of the "main" series for several reasons. Firstly, none of them follow the numbered system that the console variations employ. When Mario Party Advance was the next entry, it was "Mario Party Advance", not "Mario Party 6", and like most handheld Mario Party games, it was unorthodox and didn't really advance the formula, but rather did its own thing. The only exception was Mario Party DS, and even then you can argue that that game wasn't even trying to be an eight successor like how 8 was a successor to 7, since it also sorta did its own thing by being more single-player focused with the whole collectibles and taking advantage of DS hardware. The other games Island Tour, Star Rush, and Top 100, however were also unorthodox to their console entries drastically and to each other. Finally, the Top 100 doesn't even include handheld minigames, despite the game clearly intended being a celebration of past Mario Party titles, despite the game also being a handheld installment. Mario Party-e

This page feels kinda unfinished to be honest. It's as if you're not actually counting this as an actual Mario Party game, which it obviously is. You barely covered it and you don't even have it on the playable characters screen (If you don't know, the playable characters are Mario, Yoshi, Wario, Waluigi and Daisy). I would do it myself if I could, but I obviously can't, so somebody needs to. Just thought I had to bring it up.

Mario Party: Challenge World [USA]

Yeah, it's an arcade game that hasn't been put here. Maxio68 (talk) 14:55, April 9, 2019 (EDT)Maxio68
