Name[edit]

I might be wrong, but I think this "Fly Swatter" minigame is actually called "Gnat Attack".--Toni 10:46, 18 August 2009 (EDT)

You may be thinking of the version in WarioWare. --Vyro 10:49, 18 August 2009 (EDT)

No, I've never even played the Wario Ware version. I'll freely admit though that I haven't played with Mario Paint for years, so...--Toni 11:22, 18 August 2009 (EDT)

Er, there is already the article Fly Swatter. The name "Mario Paint: Fly Swatter" is for the microgame in the first WarioWare. --Grandy02 13:51, 19 August 2009 (EDT)

Gnat Attack is the original. This is the microgame. Fly Swatter is a minigame in WarioWare,Inc. Mega Microgames. Confusing, right? Hello, I'm Time Turner.

Actually, I turned Fly Swatter into a redirect to this page, since WarioWare, Inc.: Minigame Mania and WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$ are the same game ("Minigame" is the PAL name, which was released first; "Microgame$" is North American title), and so their Fly Swatter mini/microgames are the same mini/microgame too. - Walkazo 22:04, 17 January 2010 (EST)
There's differences. I own the NA version and there's a minigame Gnat Attack and a microgame Gnat Attack. Hello, I'm Time Turner.
"Microgame" is the same thing as a "minigame" when the WarioWare series is concerned; we use "microgame", with "mini-game" being reserved for different series, like Mario Party and the Baseball games. I own the NA version of WaroWare, Inc.: MM too, and before I merged the pages, I checked to make sure the microgame in question was indeed known as "Mario Paint: Fly Swatter". Maybe it's just called "Fly Swatter" in the PAL version - I don't know, but it doesn't matter anyway, because in the end they're the same game, and just like we don't have different pages for "WWI: Minigame Mania" and "WWI: Mega Microgame$", we shouldn't have different articles for this subject. If you still disagree, make a proposal about it; if it passes we'll have two pages, but until then, "Fly Swatter" can stay as a redirect. - Walkazo 22:21, 19 January 2010 (EST)
Exactly what Walkazo said. The only differnece is the system it was released on and the title. Microgame for the WW:Mega Microgame$ version and mini-game for the Minigame MAnia. It's what would be called a "remake for another system", just like Metroid Prime Trilogy is based off the two Gamecube games (and one Wii)combined into one. The only notable difference is added content and different controls.--FREAK ~Game GameBros.png Freak~ OUT!
