Clarification

The bit about the Item Drops and their Drop Rate seems to be a bit lacking. To use Spiky Snifit as an example, its Item 2 Drop is listed as Syrup, with Red Pepper in parenthesis. The Drop Rate next to it lists 25.81%, with 6.45% in parenthesis. However, the section at the top says that "If equipped with the Game Boy Horror SP, the enemy will always drop this item, even if the rate is 0%." In this case, what item would be 100% guaranteed to drop, the Syrup or the Red Pepper? Hello, I'm Time Turner.

Ignoring the Japanese stats in parenthesis, apparently the Item 2 drop overrides the Item 1 drop rate when equipped with the Game Boy Horror SP: in the case of defeating a Spiny Snifit, it will always drop a Syrup instead of its Red Pepper. If an enemy has an item and that rate is 0%, it will never drop it unless equipped with the Game Boy Horror SP. --Zootalo (talk) 10:57, 19 January 2016 (EST)
Wait, that doesn't make sense. Piranha Bean lists that it has a chance of dropping a Super Nut, except I know for a fact that it drops the Piranha Swing when fought without the GB and the Piranha Suit when fought with it. Also, since Piranha Bean is only fought by a solo Luigi, it can't be stolen. What's up with that? Hello, I'm Time Turner.
That's because in the Japanese version of the game, Piranha Bean's rare drop is the Super Nut (with the Piranha Suit becoming Ludwig's normal drop instead) that can only be gotten by equipping the GBHSP. Having the Japanese stats in parenthesis alongside the normal stats in the same table is pretty confusing. --Zootalo (talk) 20:58, 19 January 2016 (EST)

Level 99?

This page says that Bowser, Goomba, and Fawful are level 99. Should we change that? - Tyler730 Tyler730 (talk) 13:26, 30 May 2018 (EDT)

Sorry for the double signature. Still kinda new to this. Tyler730 (talk) 13:27, 30 May 2018 (EDT)

(Could just edit out your double sig) Is there something in the code that says otherwise? I get Fawful and Bowser since they can't actually be defeated and have a story script tied to them. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 13:53, 30 May 2018 (EDT)

I actually haven’t played the original SS but I’m pretty sure that Goomba is not level 99. I guess we could check the code. Tyler730 (talk) 18:43, 31 May 2018 (EDT)

Gifs, maybe?

Could we change these pictures to gifs instead? —-Doopliss's sprite from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door OhoJeeOnFire (talk) 19:22, October 22, 2021 (EDT)

All the bestiary pages use non-animated sprites for the images, whereas the statboxes that are put into other articles use gifs. Changing them here isn't necessary. Bowser Nightwicked Bowser Bowser emblem from Mario Kart 8 19:33, October 22, 2021 (EDT)

Attacks

Surprisingly, the Prima guide has a name for most enemy attacks. What would be the best way to cite this? Within the bestiary, or through individual articles? LinkTheLefty (talk) 19:02, February 9, 2024 (EST)
