Where to get the stats

I'll continue to do the pictures of the weapons, but for everyone else doing work on this article, here's a video that shows off all the weapons and their stats. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2QxEPoRSKU --EldritchdraaksSig1.pngEldritchdraaksSig2.png 14:33, 14 September 2017 (EDT)

Trivia section

Settledproposal.svg This talk page proposal has already been settled. Please do not edit any of the sections in the proposal. If you wish to discuss the article, do so in a new header below the proposal.

place with in-game information 3-1-7-1-5-0
That trivia section is long. It also doesn't even seem to be trivia, as it's information that's about the weapons themselves (and some are rather pointless. "The Luigi's Longshot weapon is based on the design of Luigi, the character that can use said weapon." ???). I'm told there was talk (on Discord) about integrating the information into the tables themselves, but how would that work? Using the Matter Splatter weapon as the example, here's some suggestions (using "Reference" as the stand-in word, but that can be changed to something else if needed):

Option 1 (Stick reference on the end)
Mario's Blasters
Blaster Description Price Hit Damage Super Effect Range Cover Damage Reference
Enemy-specific Bonus Damage Chance
MRKB Matter Splatter.png
Matter Splatter
Dispatch your foes with the hot-blooded brilliance and passion of an abstract expressionist. 700 55-65 85 (Honey) 30% 10 Cells (Medium) LOW This weapon shares the same name as a galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy.

Just tag the information on the end. Probably my preferred choice. It will make the already lengthy table lengthier, but that's fine by me.

Option 2 (Place reference on bottom of section)
Mario's Blasters
Blaster Description Price Hit Damage Super Effect Range Cover Damage
Enemy-specific Bonus Damage Chance
MRKB Matter Splatter.png
Matter Splatter
Dispatch your foes with the hot-blooded brilliance and passion of an abstract expressionist. 700 55-65 85 (Honey) 30% 10 Cells (Medium) LOW
Reference: This weapon shares the same name as a galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy.

Place the information on the bottom, between the different weapons. Will look clunky, so not preferred, but still better than what we have already.

Option 3 (Place with in game information)
Mario's Blasters
Blaster Description Price Hit Damage Super Effect Range Cover Damage
Enemy-specific Bonus Damage Chance
MRKB Matter Splatter.png
Matter Splatter
Dispatch your foes with the hot-blooded brilliance and passion of an abstract expressionist.

Reference: This weapon shares the same name as a galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy.

700 55-65 85 (Honey) 30% 10 Cells (Medium) LOW

Place the bit below the in game information. Looks odd, but saves room.

Option 4 (Eldritchdraaks's idea)

See comment from Eldritchdraaks.

Option 5 (Mister Wu's Idea)

See comment from Mister Wu.

Option 6 (Do nothing)

There's nothing terribly wrong with the current list, it's just long and scattered.

Option 1

  1. Alex95 (talk) - Preferred choice.
  2. Ultimate Mr. L (talk) Per proposal.
  3. BBQ Turtle (talk) I think this option is probably the best, it prevents confusion with any in game descriptions, and although there will be empty sections, there already are some so it wouldn't make much difference.

Option 2

  1. Chat Man (talk) I doubt this will win but, Per Proposal

Option 3

  1. Alex95 (talk) - Second choice.
  2. Baby Luigi (talk) I think that's the cleanest choice, because I don't think all weapons have a reference. Too many entries would suffer from inconsistent or empty sections with all of the rest. Option one is also a very miserable choice for narrower screen-computers: we want to avoid side scrolling as much as possible.
  3. TheFlameChomp (talk) Per proposal.
  4. Eldritchdraaks (talk) Per proposal
  5. Waluigi Time (talk) Per all.
  6. Chat Man (talk) Per Baby Luigi
  7. LuigiMaster123 (talk) This seems like the easiest and most logical choice. Per all.

Option 4

  1. Eldritchdraaks (talk) - per comment

Option 5

  1. Ultimate Mr. L (talk) Mister Wu's idea looks promising.
  2. TheFlameChomp (talk) Per proposal.
  3. MrConcreteDonkey (talk) - Per all. This keeps the description and notes separate and also allows notes other than references to be added.
  4. Alex95 (talk) - I'll root for this one, too.
  5. Chat Man (talk) Per all

Option 6

Comments

The list could remain long as it is, but we could use the ref tag to link them to the bottom of the page for easier sorting.

@Baby Luigi: For the resolution thing, the table will remain the same size anyway. I have a pretty small monitor, and it's fitting. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 20:03, 8 November 2017 (EST)

I'm assuming that's what you want to happen? Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 20:10, 8 November 2017 (EST)

What do you think about this? (Edited version, it had reference before in place of notes)

This way we could have a cleaner separation between description and reference while using just a single row when only the description is needed.--Mister Wu (talk) 08:03, 9 November 2017 (EST)

I think the word we're looking for is Notes, not Reference.
Ultimate Mr. L without the emblem behind him (for my signature) Ultimate Mr. L (Talk-Contribs-Stats) 09:39, 9 November 2017 (EST)

We can also put notes, in the example given it was references, but probably notes is more appropriate indeed.--Mister Wu (talk) 09:44, 9 November 2017 (EST)
Notes would work better. Splitting option 4 to accommodate the two suggestions (and moving votes accordingly), and I'll cap it here. Don't want there to be too many requests for how this should be done :P Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 10:53, 9 November 2017 (EST)
I updated the table with notes in place of references, in case please tell me if there are other correction on the text to be made.--Mister Wu (talk) 11:05, 9 November 2017 (EST)

I still really hate the extra cell for references/notes in Mister Wu's option. It's going to have mighty, gaping inconsistencies with the rest of the list in this article, and I think it's harder to navigate and find information you want that way. I still think Option 3 and Option 4 are the best routes to take, as they don't really mess around with the overall presentation by having an inconsistent number of cells per row. I also don't like how the cell below the description has no point of any kind, potentially confusing readers. BabyLuigiFire.png Ray Trace(T|C) 04:38, 17 November 2017 (EST)

Immunnities

Rabbid Kong and Icicle golem are immune to all super effects, so could someone change the table on super effects? (Idk how) PinkYoshiFan (talk) 09:49, 25 December 2017 (EST)

Two Weapons Missing

I noticed that two weapons are missing, both of which are rockets belonging to Rabbid Luigi: Agro Torpedo V2 and Big Spike V2. Agro Torpedo V2 does vamp damage and Big Spike V2 does stone damage.

Both of these weapons are the only weapons that are exclusive to Superbrawl. Speaking of Superbrawl, shouldn't we list how much damage all the weapons do in Superbrawl, since they are very different from Story Mode? Taric25 (talk) 02:51, 1 February 2018 (EST)

I was taking a look at Superbrawl, as I've not played it yet, and I don't know where you see the weapons, like by name, in that mode.--EldritchdraaksSig1.pngEldritchdraaksSig2.png 11:44, 1 February 2018 (EST)
Nevermind, I see it now. No, it looks unlikely that we would add those weapons as we can't view all the same stats as the weapons in storymode. It would be better to record the full skill sets on a differnt page, which would include the weapons stats. --EldritchdraaksSig1.pngEldritchdraaksSig2.png 11:58, 1 February 2018 (EST)
That seems reasonable. Where do you think we should list that information? Taric25 (talk) 13:47, 4 February 2018 (EST)
probably on a page for versus mode/superbrawl. I've got a bunch of info on the mode saved on my sandbox page (go to my profile and click the flaming head picture).--EldritchdraaksSig1.pngEldritchdraaksSig2.png 16:37, 4 February 2018 (EST)
It looks like you have nice work so far. Perhaps I missed it, but where are the names of the weapons? Also, don't you think we should put a note under Rabbid Luigi's section in this article that he has two weapons not listed here in Superbrawl? Taric25 (talk) 12:56, 17 February 2018 (EST)
I didn't include the weapon names. None of it matters as the stats for all the heroes weapons in that mode appear to be different from the stats in story mode, making the important info the skill sets instead, no the weapons. It could be confusing since you can't change weapons anyways, only skill sets.--EldritchdraaksSig1.pngEldritchdraaksSig2.png 15:24, 17 February 2018 (EST)
While the stats are different, we should at least list the weapon names somewhere. Also, some stats are visible in-battle during Superbrawl. Taric25 (talk) 00:05, 10 April 2018 (EDT)

DK Adventure weapons

Can you add in all the weapons for the Donkey Kong Adventure DLC? This includes their stats and descriptions. --50.77.25.165 21:55, 2 July 2018 (EDT)

Question.svg This talk page or section has a conflict or a question that needs to be answered. Please try to help and resolve the issue by leaving a comment.

Wouldn't it be nice if the list included which world the different weapons can be found in? ( also a good idea to include the chapter it can be found in, which contextual action is needed( If necessary) and whether or not it's referring to the actual world or the area of the hub world.) EX: Killer extinct sentry and Bowser Basher Melee weapons can be found in ancient gardens.

How would you deal with the weapons in Donkey Kong Adventure? Toadette icon CTTT.pngFont of Archivist Toadette's signature(T|C) 17:15, 19 December 2018 (EST)
As far as that goes, you would just put where they can be found( e.g. the Atoll, Banana Lagoon, Reef, Jungle or Dungeon). If a weapon is already unlocked (Eg the woodshop walloper), Just put N/A.
In case you're wondering about the Steampunk DLC weapons, just put N/A.

I was just wondering considering there are six levels that are considered part of the Banana Lagoon, including the atoll where the Donkey Kong Adventure campaign begins. Toadette icon CTTT.pngFont of Archivist Toadette's signature(T|C) 17:12, 20 December 2018 (EST)

To: Toadette The achiever From: Anonymous, Can you please get as many users as possible to even consider this edit suggestion because I am starting to wonder if anyone else can see this.

Does anyone have any questions regarding this suggestion? Like where should the name of the world each weapon can be found in go? For anyone who is considering this suggestion,Here's some links to some guides to help you fill in the location .( Note: The first two only give you the weapon locations for the first two worlds. The other two are for the Lava Pit. As far as the DK Adventure weapons go, you'll need to find that out yourself, but don't worry too much because a majority of the chests contain either 3d models, soundtracks, or artwork.)you could say that this proposal is pointless and there's lots of websites that could give you a lot of info on weapons, where to find them, and how to find them, But I say " what if you only wanted to check one website for such information and then some?" https://segmentnext.com/2017/08/29/mario-rabbids-kingdom-battle-weapons-locations-guide/

Languages

Should you include a page with a list of weapon names in other languages? --24.188.22.145 17:54, October 20, 2019 (EDT)

This is inconsistent and/or incomplete

Only a few of the weapon categories have a "how to unlock" column. Either we need to remove it from the few that have them, or get info for the rest. My edit countPinkYoshiFanMy wikirby userpage 11:19, May 22, 2020 (EDT)

Obviously removal of valid information isn't a good idea, so we definitely should add it for the other ones. --Waluigi's head icon in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Too Bad! Waluigi Time! 11:27, May 22, 2020 (EDT)
