Guys I don't think that the shortcut to Gobblegut,s planet is a glitch. I have done it before myself but i don't think it is a glitch probably just a shortcut put in by the developers.--Yoshidude99 10:30, 26 December 2010 (UTC)

I have a question. With the Yoshi tongue glitch using the war pad, can you go through the pipe to the Chance Cube room? You can infinite flutter there, so the tounge has a direction to go in. Kirby694 10:02, 12 August 2011 (EDT)

I found out that you can do it, and it is stuck to the yellow toad. I dismounted and remounted Yoshi, did the glitch again. Yoshi's tongue is stuck to the Chance Cube room.....or the sky. Very confusing, I used the yellow toad to glitch it up both times by the WArp Pad on Starship Mario. If I could Infinite flutter jump, I would use Yoshi to go to the blue Lumas in that room. I try using Z to do it, but end up dismounting. I want to use Yoshi's tongue as a guide to get up there. So...have fun. -_- Kirby694 15:45, 12 August 2011 (EDT)

From SMG1

The High Jumps Glitch was taken from SMG1. Also, this and the High Backflip Glitch are the SAME THING. So we should move them to Super Mario Galaxy/Glitches. SKmaric (talk)

But they are also present in Super Mario Galaxy 2. YLYLsig.jpg

Rewrite template.

I cannot locate any "you"s in the article anymore, does that mean that I can remove the Rewrite template from the article? PidgeyIcon.pngRandomYoshi(TalkPMsC) 17:14, 22 September 2011 (EDT)

Infinite 1-up Glitch

In Supermassive Galaxy, on the second planet with the Gargantua Koopa Troopas, if the player jumps on the Koopa and bounces up and down on it 7 times, every bounce after that, the player gains a 1-up. This is featured on many walkthroughs and the like. Is there a reason it is not here?

I highly doubt it's a glitch. It's probably put there by Nintendo on purpose as a secret way to get 1-up's.

How do I name it?

There is a glitch that I found while playing my Wii, but it has no name. if you (while on Yoshi) use the flowers on starship Mario and on the second one go towards Lubba and keep fluttering, (not infinite flutter) you will suddenly speed up. What should I name it? --Paper Mario Kart 17:50, 11 March 2012 (EDT)

You should put it under the "Yoshi Has Speedy Legs" glitch in a new paragraph.SuperPickle Super Mushroom artwork for Super Mario 3D Land. 14:55, 5 July 2012 (EDT)

New Article

Since the Infinite Flutter Jump Glitch is so well known and is the reason many other glitches have been discovered, should it have it's own article?Artwork of Yoshi in Mario Party 8 (later reused for Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games) YoshiPickle MP8 Yoshi Icon.png 20:49, 5 July 2012 (EDT)
No, because we don't have articles for glitches, regardless of how well known they are. R.O.B. Master R.O.B. (contribs · edits) 20:50, 5 July 2012 (EDT)
I read the article and 32 of the glitches involve Yoshi and almost every one of them uses the Infinite Flutter Jump. If it weren't for the Infinite Flutter Jump, this article would be a lot smaller.Artwork of Yoshi in Mario Party 8 (later reused for Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games) YoshiPickle MP8 Yoshi Icon.png 20:56, 5 July 2012 (EDT)

Glitch

Once when I was in the first galaxy, I took the pipe to the cage with the 1-up mushroom and got randomly stuck in the cage!RPG Gamer. I HAVE RPG!! (talk) 13:39, 29 March 2013 (EDT)

This is a clipping glitch, I think. Feel free to add it in, but if you can make this happen again, please take a picture. Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 23:33, 29 March 2013 (EDT)

New(?) glitch found

I had found the delayed transformation glitch is applicable to cloud Mario too, in Shiverburn Galaxy. Hit lava and let the plumber run into a cloud flower. Clouds will be following the plumber, but the plumber himself won't transform until he recovers.--CustomArio (talk) 05:01, 3 September 2014 (EDT)

The missing giant luma glitch also applies to the following: Grand Goombas in Supermassive and a running penguin in the 2nd star of Cosmic Cove.--CustomArio (talk) 10:43, 5 September 2014 (EDT)

Terribly written section

Can someone edit section 3.8? It has terrible writing and I can't fix it because this page is protected and I don't yet have the rights to do it. If no one does it, I'll do it when I get the rights. Luigi 64DD (talk) 18:52, 20 September 2016 (EDT)

Oh, jeez. Yeah, I'll see what I can do. Thanks for the notice. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 20:02, 20 September 2016 (EDT)

Sweet mystery galaxy weird invisible platforms.

In the Sweet Mystery Galaxy, there are weird platforms that are invisible. They are possible to reach by infinite flutter jumping to a blue ribbon by the present planet. Then there are two weird, invisible platforms, one small, one much larger. These platforms are completely invisible, and the platforms can be fallen off. I don't have the rights to add this, but could someone else add this? I have found this video which also explains this glitch (not mine) [1].

Could be a beta layout?

The platforms themselves don't appear to be a glitch, but yeah, that's strange. Someone in the comments noted how they could be invisible walls, but based on the size of the platforms, they appear to be angled horizontally.
It's also possible that they are platforms that appear when under the effects of the Bulb Berry, but for some reason aren't intangible like the rest. More research is needed here. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 11:18, 2 August 2017 (EDT)
Seems pretty similar to the 'Drop zone' Glitch in the article. SMG3 (talk)
Could this be added to the 'Sweet mystery Galaxy' Article? SMG3 (talk)

New gravity glitch

I was playing in the Rightside Down Galaxy and I found a weird gravity glitch.

First the player has to jump over the first lever and longjump off of the fence behind it to land on the upside-down question block. Then they have to jump onto the wall below. From there they can longjump to the flower but not spin off of it. The flower will put the player on the ceiling while the gravity is blue, and they can walk around a bit, but if they go too far to the right, the gravity will correct itself.

100 Lives Glitch

If you get a life whilst dying, a glitch occurs where the death screen shows "x100" (Where "10" are on a line above and "0" is after the x where the number would be) ticking down to x99, and you respawn with 99 lives. An example can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y716NcvgFlk&t=18m51s . This would be a scripting glitch.

Audio glitch

So, I was playing Fluffy Bluff Galaxy, and I happened to triple jump. However, the third jump started right as I collected a cloud flower. Because of that, Mario said his usual "Wahoo!" from a regular triple jump while collecting the powerup. I only discovered this recently, and I don't know if it's documented anywhere else.

That doesn't really seem like a glitch and seems more like the audio clip just playing through. Lucina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 07:21, September 19, 2020 (EDT)

Out of bounds in Sky Station Galaxy

I found this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpzL-vV_WXI) which showcases two out of bounds glitches in Sky Station Galaxy. Should these be added? TurkeyCookTime (talk) 14:37, December 29, 2020 (EST)

New graphical glitch found

Watching this video of Eric Fortes (link: https://youtu.be/aURjloVV7m0 minute 11:30) I noticed that when Mario was electrocuted and die he turned into a skeleton like in Super Mario Galaxy. Seeing such a strange event, I decided to try the glitch and to my surprise it works! The procedure is a bit complex, but when you do it for the first time the rest of the time it is much easier. You have to go to the Space Storm Galaxy, second star and climb to the top of the tower where the Topmen are. First you will have to eliminate the 2 Spike Topmen so that the Spring Topman appears. We will have to take damage to be at 1 HP and wait for the Topman to charge towards us. Just when it is almost about to hit us, we will have to be electrocuted with the electric barrier, die and get hit by the Spring Topman. This will cause the death animation to glitch and show Mario's skeleton. Also works with Luigi!

Jandro_33 17:07 27 August 2022 (UTC+2)

This also can happen from the normal electrocution animation without further setup[2] in both games, but it's nice to know there is a somewhat consistent method. I will say the interruption of a death animation like that is not something I knew could happen, that in of itself is pretty cool. New Audio Glitch in Tall Trunk Galaxy

In the second star (Tall Trunk's Big Slide), I found that you can trigger the 'slider' theme, without actually riding the slide. I've found that its easiest to do if you get on top of the large log at the start of the slide (the structure right after the checkpoint). From there, long jump above the slide (but hold back so you don't go very far out), and after falling down past the top of the log you were just on, spin and hold back to land on the ground before the slide. If done correctly, the slider music will be playing without you being on the slide. If you move away from the entrance to the slide, the music will go away, likely due to the background wind effects changing.
