Seems plausibleEdit

Does anyone else think those badges similar to the damage dodges increase superguard power ? it seems plausible, seeing as they had similar designs and since damage dodge decreases damage taken, those unknown badges would have increased counter power User:Shroobtimetraveller

Riverside StationEdit

I think that weird robot like characters was a mini boss at Riverside Station User:Ninja Toad5

What robot like characters? You mean the Smorgs? Uh... Fawfulfury65
He means the odd robot sprite that's in the gallery and yes, it sounds possible. User:Mr.C
I am Zero! That could be a possibility, but when I first saw it, it sort of look like it should of been in X-naut fortress where the robotic thwomp was at, another possibility. Zero signing out. Zero777 (talk)

Beta 9 informationEdit

Where can I find more information (pics or videos) about this beta 9? Pseudo-dino (talk)

Isn't it weird...Edit

Isn't it weird how that song reminds me of either the WarioWare Inc. song from SSBB, or else it could be a beta area theme. -IandaM

Dusk bones???Edit

X-Nauts were also called Boomer Gangers and Dusk Bones were called "Koopa Skeletons".

What,may i ask,is a Dusk Bones?Is it a Dry Bones,Dark Bones,or a Beta Dry bones?

Translated.Edit

In the dialogue section, my friend translated the mysterious writing from one of the boxes. The:
ゆうぎじょうに
よりみちなんかしたら・・・
しょうちしないよ!!

literally translates to:
Yu Gijouni
If something more road
It is not out of cane? !

I'm not really sure what that means though. Mirai Moon

HELP MEEdit

I found a bear paw, which is, of course, BETA. I don't know how to isolate individual items, but some people do. Please help. I found it at [[1]]. If you find this comment, PLEASE DON'T ignore it. I'll be anonymous for now. If you ignore it, my Shyguy army, led by Shyguy Sonic, will destroy you. Thank You, and Good Night.

From,

I saw the same thing on a different website. It is red and it some kind of item. I would need to look at it's description to tell u about it. YoshiGo99

Non beta dialogueEdit

Under the Palace of Shadow (las_05) section lists quotes about the floor swallowing up Mario, that is not beta dialogue, if you wait long enough in the room with all the Dry Bones and the one Dark Bones (while the Dry Bones are surrounding you) your partner will say that message and if you wait even longer, you'll get a game over. It happened to me and I saw the exact quote from that beta section.  Tails777 Talk to me!

Sick status effect?Edit

While cleaning the page, I came across the following bit of information:

"A status element called Sick was going to appear, but was deleted midway through development. All that is known about it is its effect, preventing those effected from using items. It should be noted that a status element called Sick would later be featured in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, with a different effect. "

There's no source or even any context to see where that info is taken from (for what it's worth, that entry was placed next to the part about the official website, but said website is dead, so I can't verify it), so I had no idea where to place it and just deleted it. If anybody can find a source for that, it would be appreciated. --Glowsquid (talk) 15:19, 16 August 2012 (EDT)

I'll point out that the information that the info is also on the Sick article. It was added at the end of 2009, for future reference. I can't actually find any sources that talk about the Sick status in Paper Mario, though. GreenDisaster (talk) 16:22, 16 August 2012 (EDT)

Maybe the official website can still be accessed by the Wayback Internet Archive. I was able to browse the Gamehiker Image Gallery recently though that, even through that website has been dead for over two years now. Glowsquid, can I have a link to the official website (even if it is dead). It's worth a shot.

It's apparently www.papermario.com. Tried to check it myself, but Wayback is only giving a bunch of "Bummer. The machine that serves this file is down. We're working on it."-errors right now. I managed to find a revision that "works", but all I get is a nag windows about needing an outdated version of Flash Player, clicking on anything redirect to Nintendo's website. No idea of how to bypass it.--Glowsquid (talk) 22:11, 1 December 2012 (EST)

Yep, I got that far as well. Maybe it needs a version of flash player from back in 2004... which can be found here but I dunno if it will stuff up my computer or not.
  Shokora (talk · edits) 22:22, 1 December 2012 (EST)

My computer supports Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004, so it may support the 2004 flash player. If someone knows the version of it I will open it and upload the images. User:Whitey (talk / edits)

There is what may be the "Sick" status ailment you're talking about. However it looks like it would go with Fear from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars as shown.

Does anybody have a source for that last paragraph at the end of the "Unused Badges" section? I never remember seeing either of those badges when using the AR code and cannot find where they would have found that information. Betamaster64 (talk) 16:03, 6 March 2014 (EST)

Um..Edit

According to the TCRF, Unused theme 1 is for Riverside Station "eki is the three-letter abbreviation used for Riverside Station, so that's probably where this would have been used."

Any clue how these files got extracted?Edit

I've been looking around but I haven't found much. YourBuddyBill (talk) 12:03, 14 April 2015 (EDT)

Unused dialogue that we're missing.Edit

My computer is missing some of the stuff to render it properly, so I can't pull the japanese characters out for translation, but there's some unused dialogue in the msg file usu_00.txt, under the headers usu_00_aed_01, usu_00_aed_02, usu_00_aed_viv_01, usu_00_aed_viv_02, usu_00_aed_viv_03, and usu_00_aed_viv_04. All of it is lumped in right before the Shadow Sirens scene in Twilight Town (where Vivian gets blamed for something she didn't do again). I only know this because I accidentally skipped half the conversation and opened up a text dump to see what I missed. YourBuddyBill (talk) 01:28, 16 April 2015 (EDT)

All of them apart from usu_00_aed_01 and usu_00_aed are listed as unused on TCRF. --Hiccup (talk) 15:39, 16 April 2015 (EDT)

Unused ItemsEdit

So, this site has a TTYD item list, which includes two unused "Invalid Items", including the meat from the Bowser segments and a second Magical Map item. Anyone know how correct this is? Binarystep (talk) 17:24, 3 May 2015 (EDT)

Beta 9?Edit

Hi, I made an account just to make this question: What happened to the beta 9 information? Was it fake? All I found while searching for information about it was that I should ask somebody named Stooben Rooben and some GameFAQs threads. --Gray Fox (talk) 00:07, 18 August 2015 (EDT)
