It must be for N64 Rainbow Road, because there are bouncing chomps, that chomp has some thingies that make it bouncing and it's chainless. They have been there since Mario Kart 64.

White Background?

I noticed on the Mario and Yoshi character stamps, the stamps are on a white background and I don't think this is needed because the majority of stamp images on the page are transparent, all the stamps on the Super Mario 3D World stamp page are transparent, when posting on Miiverse, they are also transparent, and stamps are generally just an outline. There's actually a white outline in these stamps and a white background but I agree the white outline is pointless and not as useful as fully transparent stamps. It's not hard to color it in white if you really want (hell Paint does this job well) and the white border can get in the way of using the image. • Cake stamp (most likely from Sweet Sweet Canyon Time Trial), the bottom of it is cut off, however: Miiverse Post Image
• I think these are considered stamps, they are most likely availble from the start: Line Burst, Horizontal Lines, Speech Bubble, and is this the flag background you mentioned?

Since Super Mario 3D World had a number of stamps available from the start, I think it will be the same in Mario Kart 8.

The line burst and speech bubble stamps were easy to edit: Line Burst Speech Bubble, but the others have been placed differently in different posts, so it's nearly impossible to be sure.

I edited together the Train stamp (most likely from Toad Harbour Time Trial), but the wheels may not be correct: Train stamp

We're making good progress, everyone! But, I say we shouldn't add the Thwomp, Wario Statue, Cake or Train stamps yet as they've been cut off slightly in the posts they're found in and even though they can be easily edited, it wouldn't be the official sprite. Also, I don't think that there should be separate Koopa and Shy Guy stamps, because they're most likely together in one stamp as seen in these posts: [3] and [4]. Alright, sounds good. I've moved the Koopa and Shy Guy stamp to the Electrodrome Time Trial slot because they look like they're dancing to music and that level has those screens with ONLY Koopas and Shy Guys dancing on them (and Piranha Plants were hazards). Stamps

So these are my guesses: The Boo stamp is from Twisted Mansion, The Monty Mole stamp from snes Donut Plains 3, The Bouncing notes belong together in 3ds Music Park and the snowboarding Shy Guy is from Mount Wario.^{Billy-Luigi Time!} 02:23, 12 May 2014 (EDT)

Those all seem to make sense, except it's more likely that the Wario statue will be the Mount Wario Time Trial stamp. I was actually thinking the same thing about the Music Park one, and since all of the posts I've seen usually have them together in the exact same positions, I'll go ahead and move that one now. I think it is from Mario Circuit (Wii U) because GBA didn't have any I also suggest that the ones with cut off parts could be added anyway with a tag saying parts are cut off. Just my two cents... BTW How do I make a signature?

I'm sure there were at least two Miiverse posts indicating that the Piranha Plant is indeed potted. The actual 3DS Piranha Plant Slide stamp would most likely be of a bigger Piranha Plant. Courses Articles

I was looking at how each of the courses appears to have a stamp that you unlock from doing a Time Trial on them. When the game comes out and/or when all 32 of those stamps are available, should we include the stamp in the article for each course. Maybe something along the lines of "The stamp obtained for beating a Time Trial on the course in Mario Kart 8" Watcher of Game (talk)

Fire Snake, Wario Statue and Piranha Plant

Here is the Fire Snake: Image Miiverse Post The reason I'm not putting it in just yet is because I'm not sure if the post here is showing the whole shadow (it seems cut off slightly). I just wanted to see what anyone else thinks, if it looks fine enough, then it can be put in the list.

Also, this post shows a bit more under the Wario Statue stamp, but I also think there's still more to this stamp, it seems very big considering the top is already cut off, the whole stamp can't even fit.

And finally, should the Piranha Plant stamp be called the "Piranha Plant" stamp, or the "Potted Piranha Plant" stamp? I am trying desperately for the full Wario Statue, Bowser Golem, and Gears, but the staff ghosts are so hard and I suck.

... it's possible that, with the stamps, we can get new stamps because of new tracks and characters? For example, a new stamp of Tanooki Mario (obtained by winning a Grand Prix as him) or of a Minecart (obtained by winning a Time Trial race against a Staff Ghost on Wii Wario's Gold Mine).

DLC pack 2 brings ten new stamps!

If you go on the MK8 list of stamps when writing a miiverse post, you can see that there are a few more stamps we haven't uploaded, including an F-Zero sign, a Bowser Emblem, Link, Isabelle, a House, and Animal Crossing Tree, and Lakitu on his cloud. "Lakitu on a Cloud" New Stamp

This stamp is placed on the other stamps content. Gallery

Okay, so the images in the gallery are of slightly higher quality. Does that still mean we need to have a section that does nothing except repeat what are essentially the exact same images? Why not just move the images from the gallery into the list with the descriptions? It looks really silly to me to have a list of images, and then a gallery of those same images. "Slightly" higher quality is a huge underexaggeration. The stamps I have uploaded here can be used to recreate .svg styled files with Illustrator or any vector-based image program via tracing, which can be very useful if you want images that can be resized without loss of image quality, and these images are of decent quality enough to be used with Illustrator, unlike the sprites. The list is created to showcase off the sprite versions of the images, which are the sprites that are used in-game while the gallery is the artwork versions of them, which can be found only if you have the online version of the Prima guide. Because, as I said, those sprite rips are the exact same sprite as the ones used in Miiverse posts. I don't feel like repeating myself again, they have different uses for different purposes, much like how a sprite Mario is theoretically lower quality than an artwork Mario, yet they serve a different function. Re-order

I feel like we should re-order these stamps to be like how they are in game, but are still in the same categories. I just think it's kinda strange that people didn't do that, maybe due to not knowing the order? Well, I do know that order, so expect some eventual changes.
