Official name

Is this the official name for this? Yoshi876 (talk)

I'm not quite sure. I'll add the conjecture box just in case. Poison Mushroom Orb in Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. EditionDigibutterFrancis 22:49, 2 December 2013 (EST)

Endless Road

I was curious as to whether or not the road the battle takes place on is endless, so I started the battle in Bowser's Highway Showdown, but refrained form kicking any bombs at him so the battle would keep going for a while. I discovered that for a while, the road has obstacles and gimmicks, like a ditch cut through the middle of the road with enough space on the edges to keep the Bowser Mobile above the ditch. But after a while I noticed the gimmicks diminishing until there were almost none at all. I can conclude that after a while, the road starts looping through the same section, which consists of one long, plain stretch with the only thing of note being a small jump in the middle. Having concluded that the road is not generated randomly and can therefore be fully documented, should I add the full layout of the road as well as the fact that it starts looping? I won't be able to do it until this weekend because I don't remember the full road and can't play until then. I'll also do the road for the second battle.

Nobody's answering, so I guess I'll assume it's a good plan. If we're going to be the ultimate Mario database, we need all the detail we can get. I'll put it into its own section, marked Battle or Battle Layout. I'll also take a couple screenshots of the second Bowser Mobile, one from the front when he first drives up and one from the back, during the fight.

Sounds good. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 14:02, 18 November 2016 (EST)
Done. I also got a pic of Bowser defeated.

I have a pic of the remains I could upload that I saved to Miiverse a while back. Would this be good enough? Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 19:49, 16 November 2016 (EST)
Yeah, that's good. I like how Mario's standing on top of it, signifying how he conquered it.

Uploaded and included! I'll upload a bigger and better version once I get around to it. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 20:28, 16 November 2016 (EST)
Nice one.

Fireballs

Boomerangs thrown by Boomerang Mario can hurt it. What about fireballs thrown by Fire Mario? None appear in the level, but someone could still get to the battle with one from another level.

I'm not sure, I will have to check. Sprite of Black Ninjakoopa, from Paper Mario. Sprite of Red Ninjakoopa, from Paper Mario. The RPG Gamer (talk) (edits) 22:39, 22 November 2016 (EST)
I have confirmed that fireballs can indeed destroy it. Every five hits, he takes damage as if he was hit with a bomb, so I multiply that by nine to get... 45 fireballs to defeat it.

That's the case with just about any enemy/boss. They can be damaged by fireballs, but it'll take more attacks for one solid "hit" to land. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 15:43, 27 November 2016 (EST)
Yeah, but it's a bad plan to just assume that fireballs can hurt it. You should always check this stuff. Also, we would still need to know exactly how many hits it took.

"Name"

Are we sure that this is the name of the vehicle? It sounds like it's referring to the area you fight Bowser in, instead. Did somebody mess up? Scrooge200 (talk) PMCS Mustard Cafe Sign.png 21:06, July 1, 2019 (EDT)

Yeah, I'm not buying this either. "KoopaChaseLv2" sounds more like a 2nd level where you chase Bowser, which is exactly what the level is, rather than intended to be the name of the vehicle. It could also potentially refer to the combination of Bowser and the car, which would be the boss itself. I'm curious if anything internally refers to The Great Tower of Bowser Land as "KoopaChaseLv3", which would debunk the name. --Waluigi's head icon in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Too Bad! Waluigi Time! 21:24, July 1, 2019 (EDT)
Rest assured, I'm not just working off filenames and can confirm via Switch-Toolbox that KoopaChase is the model for the first car and KoopaChaseLv2 is the model for the second car. In fact, "Lv2" seems to be in general use for the object name of a revisited boss (for example, the first/blue Hisstocrat is TentackHead and the second/pink one is TentackHeadLv2). Additionally, levels are in a separate StageData folder, not ObjectData. LinkTheLefty (talk) 21:50, July 1, 2019 (EDT)
I agree. It sounds less like the name of the vehicle. --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 10:53, July 3, 2019 (EDT)
Then I don't know what to tell you because that's just what the names of the models are. LinkTheLefty (talk) 10:59, July 3, 2019 (EDT)
Out of curiosity, what are the mention in the Prima guide? If generic, i'd prefer to use the internal filenames over the generic descriptor, even if it sounds weird. --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 11:09, July 3, 2019 (EDT)
It's just called Bowser's "car" and has no other name. My guess on "Koopa Chase" is that it was meant to evoke the Koopa Clown (Car). LinkTheLefty (talk) 11:39, July 3, 2019 (EDT)
