Which name use to split?[edit]

Which name should we use? The internal filename contains the english word "Angry", but the rest is romanized. --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 08:18, March 23, 2019 (EDT)

Split as its direct Japanese name, or as its internal filename? --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 09:35, March 23, 2019 (EDT)
It is possible that the reason for the name "Pakkun" might be due to a remnant of earlier development where it was more clearly a Piranha Plant, and like Gōrumondo, the filename wouldn't be used. Like Hisstocrat (pink), we could just use an English identifier to name it "Kobu Kokko (angry)" if split. LinkTheLefty (talk) 07:27, April 26, 2019 (EDT)

I oppose splitting for the same reasons as TheDarkStar when he removed the split template in the first place. Same name, same appearance, different behavior. I see no reason to split what is clearly the same species. --Waluigi's head icon in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Too Bad! Waluigi Time! 13:59, December 12, 2019 (EST)

Yeah, it's literally just the same thing with a slightly different expression. By that logic, why don't we split out the variants of Neuron? TheDarkStar Sprite of the Dark Star from Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey 14:43, December 12, 2019 (EST)
The only name difference is an official identifier, like "Koopa Troopa (green)." Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 15:23, December 12, 2019 (EST)
