Talk:Jr. Klap Trap

In his first episode, DK calls him "Klaptrap," and in the second K. Rool starts calling him "Junior" - they don't say Junior the Giant Klaptrap at any point (although the Kongs do say something towards the end that sounds like either "Junior the Klaptrap?!" or possibly "The giant Klaptrap?!" in unison, but it's kind of hard to make out). So with that in mind, maybe "Klaptrap (character)" or "Junior (Donkey Kong Country)" would be more accurate? LinkTheLefty (talk) 17:28, 2 October 2014 (EDT)

Bumping this to say that the two characters appear to be one and the same. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) messaged me during her ban and said that the only character who actually refers to this character as "Klaptrap" is Donkey Kong, who appears to be using the term generically, while he's referred to as "Junior" by King K. Rool, his boss. In addition to that, the referenced pdf we have of Ron Ruben's roles lists the character as "Jr. Klap Trap". With that information, would "Jr. Klap Trap" work as a better name? If the PDF reference came from the voice actor, then I agree with Jr. Klap Trap! LinkTheLefty (talk) 19:29, 22 February 2018 (EST)
I honestly can't tell where the PDF came from, but TheSuperZX (talk) who added it is still active, so I'll send a message their way and see what they say. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 19:43, 22 February 2018 (EST)
Yep, the PDF came from his site, so it appears to be legit. "Jr. Klap Trap", any objections? Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 19:57, 22 February 2018 (EST)
I support the move to "Jr. Klap Trap". --A sprite of a Flame Chomp from New Super Mario Bros. Wii.TheFlameChomp (talk) 19:57, 22 February 2018 (EST)
