Wait, wait, wait! Chained Kongs aren't Guerillas, they're stronger and found in an entirely different location. -- Sir Grodus

The European names might be for Chained KongEdit

As you may known, Chained Kongs are enemies who look very much like Guerrillas, are found in a volcano, and are strong against fire. Aren't the names that we got from the European Nintendo sites for Chained Kong instead?

Not only does the UK website call the enemy "Chained Kong", but some of the other names fit Chained Kong better:

  • The Dutch name "Bergguerrilla" basically means "Mountain Guerrilla", which implies that this enemy is a mountain variant of some enemy called "Guerrilla".
  • The first part of the French name "Cholao Donk" may be understood as "chaud là-haut" (hot up there) which would make more sense for an enemy who lives in a volcano.

Interesting. I put them here because because I thought the English name could plausibly refer to the Forest Maze enemy, which the artwork seems to be depicting (gray shackles). But I had no idea what "Cholao" meant when I did that. You're probably right. Blinker (talk) 13:34, October 13, 2023 (EDT)
