OK. I'm seriously beginning 2 think that the dark blue Goombas in Mario Kart 7 & New Super Mario Bros. 2 are really Gloombas. A Strollin' Stu as it appears in Super Mario Sunshine. BoygeyPumpkineer A Smolderin' Stu in the game Super Mario Sunshine.

There isn't any proof and I personally think they are the same as the ones in Super Mario Bros. Raven Effect (talk)

First appearance

They're first appearance should be listed as Super Mario Bros, since Super Mario World is the dirst appearance of the Galoomba MarioLover54 (talk) 22:14, July 31, 2019 (EDT)

No, the Goombas in underground areas of SMB is simply because those are the values encoded to the 2nd object palette in caves. The palette is brown while outside, gray in caves, and gray and black underwater. Anyways, Gloombas actually use a different graphical system from the value-encoded palettes, so they aren't the same situation. Besides, they're stronger. So what are you telling me then? The game states that goombas without sunlight turn blue. Are you telling me the goomba henchmen that were temporarily stationed there began breeding at some point? How do goombas reproduce anyway? There are children" so I know it's possible MarioLover54 (talk) 13:55, August 2, 2019 (EDT)

What I'm telling you is that one is the result of palette encoding being changed, and the other is a deliberate attempt at a different species. These are not the same. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 14:42, August 2, 2019 (EDT)

I'm sorry for that snarky remark, I was in a bad mood when I wrote that. I'll keep my outbursts under control MarioLover54 (talk) 15:22, August 22, 2019 (EDT)
