Species

Should an article on Fryguy, the species, be made? Though only one ever appeared in Super Mario Bros. 2 and The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!, dozens of them were featured in Nintendo Comics System, which gave them an origin (as a sub-species of Toads) and several other interesting facts were revealed about them. -- Sir Grodus

Or a sub-section in this article. Your call. Is the species significant enough to warrant an article distinct from this one? -- Son of Suns

Well, it could explain the origin of Fryguys, how they are seemingly inheritantly evil, despite once being peaceful Toads. How they, along with Shy Guys, seem to be the major shock troops of Bowser's army, plus mentionings of things such as Fryguy High and the Fryguy Kindergarten could also be made. Also, it was established in a cutscene from Super Mario Advance that the Fryguy of that game was created as a result of Wart's magic, not Toads set ablaze. -- Sir Grodus

So would you rather explain those differences in a sub-section of this article or give them their own? -- Son of Suns

Well, I suppose the current article could focus on the single Fryguy seen in Super Mario Bros. 2 and The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!, while the seperate article could focus solely on the species. I do have a lot of information on the Fryguys as a species. -- Sir Grodus

Okay then. Get to work! =) -- Son of Suns

I will... tommorow though, have to go soon. -- Sir Grodus

Image verification

This picture of Fryguy is iffy. It looks similar enough to the official artwork presented in the NES manual, but the flames are off and it is recolored (noticeably the eyes). It's a different design! That, and it looks newer. Where does this design come from? Super Mario Advance? I wasn't aware the art was updated. Can someone verify if this is an official image? Identifier

Given that this version of Fryguy is more relevant than the other one, having appeared in multiple media (including actual games) and served as the basis for the Nintendo Comics System version, shouldn't this page be the "default" Fryguy page while the other one is simply linked through an about template? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 05:07, 11 May 2018 (EDT)

Yes it should, I'll go ahead and do that since the current Fryguy page needs to be deleted. Wolf Link costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 05:36, 11 May 2018 (EDT)
