Um how does the Fat Guy attacks? What he does to attack??-Club Penguin-

He runs into you like normal Shy Guys. Fawfulfury65

DizzyEdit

When Yoshi walks while holding a giant egg, he seems to be dizzy. Is that true?-- Mr.L 1998 (talk) 13:03, 8 August 2013 (EDT)

King DebuhoEdit

I'm not too sure how to proceed there, wether they should be split or not. --  FanOfYoshi 03:24, March 30, 2019 (EDT)

They should be split imo. Niiue - Who has lost his tail?
I disagree, this seems like splitting hairs over enemy size. If smaller Fat Guys showed up in Topsy Turvy, I'd be all for the split, but these two seem to be the exact same thing aside from the Japanese name. --  Too Bad! Waluigi Time! 12:39, March 30, 2019 (EDT)
Yeah, that's like splitting "Dai Packun Flower", or "Kyodai Packun Flower" from "Deka Packun Flower". Regarding the "Kyodai" enemies, until we have more proofs on that, they should stay merged. --  FanOfYoshi 12:42, March 30, 2019 (EDT)
Actually, no, it's not extraneous at all. Not splitting "King Fat Guy" to me sounds like not splitting "Dark Dark Boo" from "Dark Boo," or ""Hefty Goomba" (Kodeka Kuribo) from "Big Goomba" (Deka Kuribo). Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 14:47, March 30, 2019 (EDT)
It's a complicated situation. --  FanOfYoshi 11:13, June 24, 2019 (EDT)
I'm with Doc. LinkTheLefty (talk) 14:35, July 1, 2019 (EDT)
Does it has any differences besides its size? --  FanOfYoshi 06:26, July 4, 2019 (EDT)
Looking at the article, they don't seem to have any behavioral differences besides their size. TheDarkStar   15:08, July 4, 2019 (EDT)
You can make a proposal, but don't expect me to support by any means. --  FanOfYoshi 12:07, July 5, 2019 (EDT)
They look the same and act the same. If a proposal was made to split it, I'd oppose too. TheDarkStar   12:17, July 5, 2019 (EDT)
Not splitting this page sounds like not splitting the Super Mario Bros. 3 iteration of the Sledge Bro, but splitting it sounds like splitting the Super Mario Bros. 3 iteration of the Sledge Bro for me. The size and/or Japanese name difference is aethistic. --  FanOfYoshi 12:23, July 5, 2019 (EDT)
Out of curiosity, what does the Japanese description says? --  FanOfYoshi 14:08, July 5, 2019 (EDT)
How is it aesthetic or comparable to Sledge Bro? Its Japanese name refers to it specifically as a variation of the other. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 18:07, July 5, 2019 (EDT)
Because there are no behavioral differences whatsoever. --  FanOfYoshi 03:38, July 6, 2019 (EDT)
Hate to ad hominem here, but I find it hilarious how you're wanting to cut up the Bull's-Eye Bill page when many examples on it also lack behavioral differences, yet want to keep these merged. Anyways, Kritter, Klomp, and Kobble all have the same behavior and basic design, should they be merged? And in this case, King Debuho seems to be 1.5 times bigger than Fat Guy normally is, and has different body mass distribution in its sprite. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 03:59, July 6, 2019 (EDT)
Yeah, i also hate to ad hominem too, but, but like me (but the other way around), you want to keep the Bull's-Eye Bill page "intact", yet want to split those Fat Guy. Regarding the Kremling examples you showed there, they all look different, and are definitely separate from each other. --  FanOfYoshi 09:43, July 14, 2019 (EDT)
These look different too. Fat Guys are fat in the face, and these are a normal Shy Guy face on top of a spherical body. Anyways, Fat Guys were never generic Shy Guys. Bull's-Eye Bills were once generic Bulleet Bills in their country of origin. Keeping these on the same article would be like not splitting Bull's-Eye Bill and Bull's-Eye Banzai. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 14:46, July 14, 2019 (EDT)
Except that they look almost the same, that the size change is unnoticeable for certain players. --  FanOfYoshi 03:07, July 15, 2019 (EDT)
Nevermind, they don't run after being jumped on, but still, i do not support the split. --  FanOfYoshi 14:20, August 1, 2019 (EDT)

(indent restart) I’d be fine with splitting the King Debuhos, since they have a different design and name from regular Fat Guys. TheDarkStar   15:27, October 24, 2019 (EDT)

OK, gonna bump this again. I've found that the King Debuho not only don't run after being jumped on, they're so fat they outright bounce Yoshi off. That's another difference. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 14:42, April 5, 2020 (EDT)

"Big Guy"Edit

I don't know the context of this, was this an in-game name, or was it a verbally-stated name that amounts to Treehouse being dumb? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 02:00, March 31, 2019 (EDT)

If the game still uses "Fat Guy", then it's probably just a generic descriptor. But if the "Scrapbook" option i saw in walkthroughs is much like Scrapbook Theater, we'd see if they still use "Big Guy" or not. The page itself should turn into a redirect, given that there was a separate page conjecturally named "Big Guy" before it was turned into a redirect and uses "Big Guy", that would mean that it is the actual name. --  FanOfYoshi 04:18, March 31, 2019 (EDT)
What I was asking is what the Treehouse event did, not what we'd do in various cases, I already know that. x_X Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 04:30, March 31, 2019 (EDT)
If Big Guy isn't in-game (and it at least wouldn't appear to be in the game's Scrapbook), then it should be noted that Fat Guy wasn't an in-game name either, and the Treehouse event is also our source for several other Shy Guy variants. We could treat this as we do the Switch Panel case in the meantime. I have the feeling it was an intentional rename. LinkTheLefty (talk) 08:50, April 8, 2019 (EDT)
Regarding the other Shy Guys, here they sounded like an actual name, unlike being a generic descriptor like this one. That says, i saw Boomaster74 removing the "Big Guy" displaying title of Fat Guy in the Yoshi's Crafted World page. --  FanOfYoshi 10:27, April 22, 2019 (EDT)

I added a time signature in that YouTube link so that you can hear the first instance of "Big Guy" used in the Treehouse gameplay. They are then consistently referred to as Big Guys throughout the video. -- KOOPA CON CARNE 09:09, July 4, 2019 (EDT)

Split "King Debuhō"Edit

This talk page proposal has already been settled. Please do not edit any of the sections in the proposal. If you wish to discuss the article, do so in a new header below the proposal.

split 5-0
"King Debuhō" in Yoshi Topsy-Turvy is a larger variant of this. Not only is it even bigger than normal, it's so big it functions as a trampoline instead of as a platform like it normally does. This seems a pretty clear-cut split to me. I am not sure if there are any English sources that call this "Fat Guy," but considering the game's two other new enemies didn't get English names, it seems unlikely.

QuoteEdit

I have a quote that might work for the Fat Guys. It's not really a quote but it's a thing about them that was written in Nintendo Power it says "The fat guys look like Santa Claus rejects!" Yes, I know you could say it's too silly but it's not like we really have anything else to work with. The only Fat Guy who talks is Gourmet Guy from Paper Mario. By the way this is from Nintendo Power Volume 77 Page 17 just to be clear. Also yes I know you COULD use one of Gourmet Guy's quotes but I feel this would be better. Not every page needs to have a quote, I think this is a case where it's fine without one. --  Too Bad! Waluigi Time! 17:39, February 23, 2022 (EST)
