How dous the WarioWare series indicaate that diamond city might be on earth? Sprite of Rex from Super Mario WorldPeachycakes 3.14 08:42, 9 September 2007 (EDT) I'm confused.

  • In Mega Microgame$!, Orbulon says that the Earth is nice.
  • In Mega Party Games$!, Orbulon's bio tells that he once plotted to take over Earth, but settled down in Diamond City after he crashed the city with his spaceship.
  • In Twisted!, Orbulon flew with Mona, Kat, Ana, 9-Volt and 18-Volt in a yellow spaceship. One of them said "Earth is so pretty from up here" (in Wario-Man's epilogue).
  • In Touched!, after Orbulon collided with Ashley, he excused by saying "Pardon me, earth-folk!".

There are still some more, (nearly) always linked with Orbulon. --Grandy02 09:10, 9 September 2007 (EDT)

Um... those aren't very good reasons, actually. Max2 (talk)

Why should the characters say that the Earth looks pretty from up when they aren't from Earth? Or do you know clearer hints for the city's location? Another reason: In Smooth Moves, someone (probably Orbulon) wrote on the Bulletin Board on the city map that he wants to save the Earth and starts with that in Diamond City. --Grandy02 09:30, 9 September 2007 (EDT)
They sound like good reasons to me. Mario riding YoshiXzelionETC

So... how do we know Orbullon is talking about the right planet? He's an ALIEN. Max2 (talk)

I don't think that Orbulon "wrote" his bio in Mega Party Game$! himself. Or you could edit the article so that it tells that it is often told by Orbulon that the city is located on Earth, but it is debated because he is from another planet and might err. Or something like that. --Grandy02 09:38, 9 September 2007 (EDT)
We don't really know whether he's talking about the right planet, but we have to assume that. It's official information. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 09:45, 9 September 2007 (EDT)

The whole idea just sounds to... unofficial. It has never been officially stated. We can say it is Highly Likely, but it is never confirmed if it is or not. Max2 (talk)

The statements above are official. Or is something only official for you when it reads "A is B"? - Cobold (talk · contribs) 11:14, 9 September 2007 (EDT)

Trying to figure out where everyone lives is very difficult, as explained in the Mushroom World article. It would make sense that Wario is part of Mario's world, but it also makes sense that Diamond City is part of Earth. Or Mushroom World could be an alternate Earth, distinct from the Earth in the edutainment titles. Regardless, the farther something relates to Mario and the Mushroom Kingdom, the harder it is to determine where it exists in the grand scheme of things. But out of any place in the games, Diamond City is the most video game-like place to exist on Earth (that is, the Earth seen in the edutainment titles, which are clearly distinct from Mushroom World). Also, in the WarioWare series, Wario has a map of the Earth in his house (pictured). -- Son of Suns

I've never played Mario Kart Arcade GP, but in the article is says:

"E. Gadd's logo can strangely be seen in the background of the course, which appears to house Gadd Science, Inc.. It may also be worth noting that several Magic Paintbrushes are also on display on this course."

It's strange that a companey from the mushroom world would be located on earth. Sprite of Rex from Super Mario WorldPeachycakes 3.14 18:52, 9 September 2007 (EDT)

Hence the confusion. =) That's why we say it could be on both. We just don't know. -- Son of Suns

The article says that WarioWare Twisted shows that Diamond City is on an island. Which cutscene exactly shows this? Because I've played the crap out of that game and don't remember ever seeing proof it's on an island. There are a bunch of scenes that show it's next to the ocean yes, but being near the seas doesn't make it an island.

Merger

Due to the current guide lines, should the article Diamond City (course be merged with this? --Grandy02 09:50, 9 July 2009 (EDT)

Though I don't know what the exact guidelines are, I would say yes either way. Garlic Man (talk)
What are those guidelines? Because if this gets merged so should the other ones that share a name, like Donut Plains. Hello, I'm Time Turner.
Yes, Donut Plains should be merged as well. Delfino Plaza is a good example of a stage/course being merged with the "actual" thing. Garlic Man (talk)
Before merging, create a discussion on the merge, link to it from the MarioWiki Proposals page and wait for everybody else. Hello, I'm Time Turner.
Look Here. It's already settled by proposal. Garlic Man (talk)

So, is it possible that Diamond City is in the Metro Kingdom?

Now that we know the extent of the mushroom world, can we definitively say that Diamond City is in it? If so, is it probable that it's in the Metro Kingdom? Starius65 (talk) 20:24, 22 October 2017 (EDT)

No. Not only is there absolutely no evidence of that being the case, but it also seems highly improbable anyway. --Seandwalsh (talk) 15:04, December 11, 2020 (EST)

A Suggestion

I believe that the "Areas" section of this article should have a gallery of areas instead of just a plain list, like what I did in the Inventions section of Dr. Crygor. Don't click Penny PnnyCrygr User contributions 02:50, March 29, 2023 (EDT)
