Then what's the point of the Paper Mario partners' cards??? Max2 (talk)

Nothing! They just add to your entire collection! Artwork of Boshi from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven StarsMat_Rix_007

Like a tattle log, you can brag about it :P Great Gonzo

Can someone get a list of all of the catch cards?--Aipom_Banana_2.gif Aipom 424.png--

I shall try. But since there are 256 of them, it would be awkward to list them all here.Phoenix Rider

WOW! I never knew that there were that many.--Aipom_Banana_2.gif Aipom 424.png--

... Can you try? Max2 (talk) I would help, if I had the game (and a Wii)

I have the guide, so it's a cinch for me :P. Tadaa!2.gifPlumber, LOL, I bought the guide more for articles than the game!Tadaaa!.gif

According to the (Prima) Players' Guide, the cards in the Flipside shop (Catch a Dream) are 10 coins each. Is that correct? (Page 19) "The shopkeeper sells cards for only 10 coins each. :Mathboyzld

Yeah, that's true. - Smashgoom202 09:33, 26 April 2007 (EDT)

CardsEdit

I know there are cards for Count Bleck and his minions, the bosses of the Pits of 100 Trials, the heroes, the bosses, most enemies, the Pixls, the partners from the previous games and most of the important characters, but are there some for other stuff? I mean, outof all of those enemies and other characters listed above, there aren't enough for 256 Catch Cards, are there?M&L Beware my fury! 20:10, 29 January 2012 (EST)

Success ratesEdit

How does the game determine the probability of a card capturing an enemy? What is the general range? Theyoshisaur (talk) 22:14, 18 January 2018 (EST)

LocationsEdit

Does anyone knows how much Catch Cards are in the overworld? the only one that I know is the one on Chapter 3-1. I think it would be great if we get the total number of blank catch cards to be found in the overworld.

Merging the list articleEdit

Now that my proposal to merge the list of Not-Bottomless Holes has passed, I want to discuss merging the list of Catch Cards here. While this article has more non-list content than Not-Bottomless Hole, it's still not very long, and like NBH, Catch Cards only appear in one game. The list is decently lengthy but not enough to overinflate this article. The combined size of the two articles is still only 75,144 bytes, not even enough to crack the top 200. Colorless spot, Assist Trophy, and especially Spirit (Super Smash Bros. Ultimate) are considerably larger.    22:18, June 9, 2021 (EDT)

Yeah. I think I can go along with the merge. If there were no bestiary for SPM, I would have been more hesitant. But since there is, there isn't any "it being the sort of bestiary and should stay" argument, no matter how weak or strong it is. So, I support this idea due to there being one game with catch card. Just keep in mind that when you do this, that there will also be a change on the bestiary template that needs to be done to reflect the list being here.   Yoshi the SSM (talk) 17:05, June 10, 2021 (EDT)

Anyone else?    16:33, June 13, 2021 (EDT)

Tippi's tattleEdit

Tippi has a unique dialogue for Caught cards which you can find lying somewhere in the levels. It still needs to be added. ☆Scarlet Pairo☆   talk 08:52, October 17, 2021 (EDT)

Player Cards in Card ShopsEdit

This article seems to insist that the Catch Cards for the Player Characters cannot be obtained in shops. This seems fairly suspect given my own experience with the game. I did see Mario's card for sale at Fondest Hopes once, a very long time ago. It's also important to note that I had not yet beaten Shadoo, so it's impossible that I could've obtained his card and have it appear in the listing to be sold back to me. Can anyone else corroborate that this childhood experience wasn't a fluke?--GameBoyTM101 (talk) 12:54, September 25, 2022 (EDT)

inaccuracy on swooper card location?Edit

there is, as far as i can tell, no 3D hole beneath the star block at the end of 2-1 SnailofKale (talk) 14:30, April 22, 2024 (EDT)

Trust me, there is. It's in the same area, maybe not directly under the star block, but there is a hole in the ground leading to the card.   Tails777 Talk to me!
You just need to flip in that area and the hole is clear as day.   Nightwicked Bowser   14:44, April 22, 2024 (EDT)
