Article title[edit]

This is kinda bugging me. Why does this article include the number in the title when other articles like Koopa Troopa Stack and Shy Guy Stack don't? Is it to distinguish it from the Sticker Star Boo stack? Scrooge200 (talk) PMCS Mustard Cafe Sign.png 15:22, April 20, 2020 (EDT)

I think at least the Troopa one should get the number too....is that one ever said without a 6? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 15:27, April 20, 2020 (EDT)
I think the name is dynamic and changes depending on how many enemies are in the stack, but I might be wrong on that. Someone needs to verify it. Scrooge200 (talk) PMCS Mustard Cafe Sign.png 16:02, April 20, 2020 (EDT)
You mean like, as they are knocked out from it? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 16:10, April 20, 2020 (EDT)
Yep, as they take damage. I'm not sure if the name's number decreases. Scrooge200 (talk) PMCS Mustard Cafe Sign.png 16:18, April 20, 2020 (EDT)
I checked this and encountered both Koopa Troopa 6-Stacks and Blooper 10-Stacks, and it appears that the name does not change as they take damage, and instead continues to show the original number. I created a lot of the stack articles years ago, and at the time I simply based the title off of two previously created articles, Shy Guy Stack and Blooper Stack. Since this isn’t the name that appears in-game, and it would be consistent with this article, I think it would make sense to change the other articles’ titles to include the number (with the exception of Fuzzy Stack, which oddly doesn’t include the number in its name in-game). If this is done, though, I am not sure if it would make more sense to continue to keep the Shy Guy Stacks together, or separate 4-Stacks and 5-Stacks. --A sprite of a Flame Chomp from New Super Mario Bros. Yeah, I'd agree to move them to include the numbers in their names. I think the Shy Guy Stacks should be split, since the 4-Stack is a one-off comparable to a boss; the 5-Stacks are generic enemies. Scrooge200 (talk) PMCS Mustard Cafe Sign.png 18:45, April 20, 2020 (EDT)
If nobody has any concerns regarding this, I have some extra time coming up, so I could probably take care of renaming these articles, since the numbered names are the official in-game names. --A sprite of a Flame Chomp from New Super Mario Bros. Wii.TheFlameChomp (talk) 21:29, May 5, 2020 (EDT)
