Article renaming

I can support a rename but to "Bolt (item)" as it can be collected, awards points, and performs a function. This article also needs an image of the sprite from the arcade version.--Platform (talk) 02:07, 21 November 2018 (EST)

"Collected?" Aren't they just dislodged, with points awarded from that? Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 02:16, 21 November 2018 (EST)
I think a better method would be to move the current Bolt article to Bolt (move). It came later, so it should get the identifier. LinkTheLefty (talk) 07:23, 21 November 2018 (EST)
Whether one is more recent doesn't matter, it comes down to likelihood of being searched/linked. They're about equal in that regard so I'm for moving this to "Bolt (object)" (they're not collected, they're jumped over and grant points as Doc said) and the current "Bolt" to "Bolt (move)". I would definitely support moving this to Bolt (object) and the other Bolt to Bolt (move) as those names make more sense in the context of what they do in-game. Doomhiker (talk)Artwork of a Topmini from Super Mario Galaxy 19:36, 21 November 2018 (EST)
I definitely agree with making this "Bolt (object)" and the other article "Bolt (move)". As Mario jc said, the order in which they came out isn't usually a factor in having an identifier, and neither seem more likely to be searched that the other. --A sprite of a Flame Chomp from New Super Mario Bros. Article renaming... again!

Could we potentially rename this article to "bolt (Donkey Kong)" or perhaps "bolt (Donkey Kong series)"? There is another object of this name in Super Mario Galaxy. - Nintendo101 (talk) 12:03, January 13, 2024 (EST)

The SMG object has been renamed to "Screwtop", so I do not believe this is necessary anymore. - Nintendo101 (talk) 20:13, February 17, 2024 (EST)
