Mario Kart GP or other appearances?

Is this article covering solely the item of the Black Shell as it appears in Mario Kart Arcade GP, but listing other appearances for lack of a different article, or should that information simply be removed? It feels rather strange seeing cross-media be nearly considered the same, especially in this situation when random coloration of a shell that serves no different purpose to any other shell is considered the same as an item with a distinct purpose and only coincidentally shares the same color.
