May I ask where in any official content was a difference recognized between these and normal Thwomps? ~Uniju(T-C-E)

Possibly the Official Nintendo Player's Guide - they list all the enemies in front. I don't have it, but if someone else does could they confirm this? That's the only source I know that lists all the official names of the game's enemies. -- Son of Suns (talk)

Big Thwomp

They are called "Super Thwomp" in Super Mario Maker, though. But if "Big Thwomp" is the most recent name, then yes it should be moved as per policy. 22:20, 7 February 2017 (EST)

In Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS, if a Super Mushroom is added to an enemy, it is called "big" (no capital). Although I didn't see Thwomp after big, I still believe it would be called big Thwomp. Anyways, I support the move to Big Thwomp. Yoshi the SSM (talk) 22:24, 7 February 2017 (EST)

Super Princess Peach

Generally speaking, "Big" enemies are just bigger versions of enemies (though some like Big Goomba sometimes gain additional attibutes, in that case splitting into two). The unnamed Thwomp guard from Super Princess Peach is entirely different and bears no resemblance to an incarnation of Big Thwomp. It is in no way similar to a Thwomp besides its design and instead remains in the background, periodically opening its eyes and scanning the room, and if it detects Peach and Perry in a position that doesn't match a nearby statue, it will suck them up and send them to the beginning of the hall. Paper Mario

Why do we consider these Big Thwomps rather than just Thwomps? In Paper Mario: The Origami King, origami Thwomps are titled just "Thwomp" in the museum gallery. Scrooge200 (talk) 15:31, August 24, 2021 (EDT)

I believe these are the only size of Thwomps in the games and are not even referred to as "Big Thwomps". So yeah, I think the information should be fully covered on the regular Thwomp article. Nightwicked Bowser 15:46, August 24, 2021 (EDT)

I wasn't sure about the Paper Mario games either, but if they're just called Thwomps and only appear in one size in those games, then I think it's clear-cut. On the main Thwomp page, the Origami King section is pretty much covered already (though may still need some rewriting), whereas the Color Splash section will need more attention.
