Swoopies are red birds with a long beak and enemies in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. Swoopies are named after their main trait of swooping, just like the Super Mario enemy Swoop. Some Swoopies, upon noticing Dixie and Kiddy nearby, quickly swoops into a tree trunk, where its beak to become stuck, allowing the Kongs to use it as a platform and reach higher areas. Swoopies with this behavior first appear in the level Springin' Spiders. During parts of the second half of Swoopy Salvo, where Swoopies appear throughout, the Kongs must jump on some Swoopies to progress. Additionally, Swoopy Salvo features an unlimited number of Swoopies that can fly quickly through small holes within the hollow trees, a type of behavior similarly shown by Bazzas and Lemguins. These Swoopies fly at a diagonal pattern, but can be defeated by either being jumped on or from one of Squawks' egg projectile. In Dixie Kong's Photo Album, there is a photography of Swoopy under the Flying Fiends category.
