Stage 8-9
Template:Levelbox Stage 8-9 is the ninth level of Rocky-Valley in the Game Boy version of Donkey Kong.
Layout
The player starts the level on the bottom-right portion of the map. Donkey Kong Jr. appears at the top right to throw out Poison Mushrooms for Mario to avoid. Mario must first move across two waterfalls while avoiding Bukubukus, heading to the very left of the area. Using a road block to draw a ladder, Mario must climb said ladder to reach the very top where the key is. Mario must then head along the top path while avoiding the seeds from a nearby Dōryī, then press a switch to activate the downwards elevators, which Mario must use to reach the door.

Within this stage, Pauline's lost items can be found in the following order and in the following places:
- Hat: Inside a crevice near the bottom-right portion of the map.
- Parasol: Inside a crevice near the bottom-left portion of the map.
- Purse: At the top-left corner near the left waterfall.
