It has been requested that this article be rewritten. Reason: Needs a history section that describes their appearances in each game even if they are minor, as a reader can only tell which specific games they appear in by looking at the templates and categories.

It has been requested that at least one image be uploaded for this article. Remove this notice only after the additional image(s) have been added. Reason: Images of Spring Balls in other Yoshi games

Two sizes of the spring ball

A Spring Ball,[1] also formatted as spring ball,[2][3] is an object that commonly appears in the Yoshi franchise, including Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, Yoshi's Island DS, Yoshi's New Island, Yoshi's Woolly World and Yoshi's Crafted World. The player can jump on top of it, then jump again to be propelled high into the air with a boosted jump. The player can jump even further up if the player times the jump right when the player contacts the Spring Ball. Some can also be released by Winged Clouds. There are also larger versions of Spring Balls, which give an even stronger and higher jump boost.

Spring Balls appear in Sonic Lost World in the "Yoshi's Island Zone" DLC level, released for free to owners of the Wii U version. They replace the trampolines found in the normal levels of Sonic Lost World.[4]
