A Spring Ball[1] is an item in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, its remake Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3, Yoshi's Island DS, Yoshi's New Island, and Yoshi's Woolly World. A Yoshi can jump on top of it, then jump again to be propelled high into the air with a boosted jump. The Yoshi can jump even further up if the player times the jump right when the Yoshi contacts the Spring Ball. Some can also be released by Winged Clouds. There are also larger versions of Spring Balls, which give an even stronger and higher jump boost.
