Sports Coupe (known as Sports Coupé in Europe and Australia) is an unlockable kart body that appears in Mario Kart 8. It is a yellow and black kart that resembles a sports car, though its name suggests that its design is based off of coupes. Unlike most other karts, the exhaust pipe is located on the top of the trunk of the vehicle, underneath its spoiler. It offers a boost in speed and weight, but a decrease in acceleration and a large decrease in traction. It has identical stats to the Mach 8, Circuit Special, Gold Standard, B Dasher, and P-Wing. Like the Circuit Special, its engine sound is reminiscent to a real life racing car and is one of the vehicles in Mario Kart 8 to have a supercharged engine.

In Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, it is now available from the start. CPU Daisy or Isabelle can be seen occasionally riding this kart with Standard wheels.
