Spiky Snifits are cacti who reside in Teehee Valley during the events of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. Spiky Snifits are only found with Gritty Goombas and Anuboos, and are weak to Mario's Firebrand. While most of the Gritty Goombas it can appear with disappear after leaving Little Fungitown, they can still be encountered with the Gritty Goombas that live in the valley's pipes.

Spiky Snifits wear Snifit masks, and shoot either spiked balls or Mushrooms. They give two hints as to whom they will attack. First, it will shift back and forth. If its right arm becomes visible, the enemy will attack Mario; if not, Luigi will be the target. Secondly, the Spiky Snifit's mouth will vibrate before it actually attacks. If so, the object will travel on a low arc; if this step does not occur, the spat object will bounce harmlessly over the target's head. Any Mushrooms that "hit" the Bros. will be added to the inventory.
