Spider (Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon)
A Spider[1] is a type of ambiance enemy in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. If Luigi uses the Strobulb function on the Spider, it drops one coin, except during Sticky Situation, or Confront the Source, where they will yield no coins, as they can respawn. A Gold Spider,[2] a rarer type of Spider, can be found usually after inspecting certain furniture. If Luigi uses the Strobulb on a Gold Spider, it drops one Gold Bar, but he must do it fast, as they tend to disappear if ignored for too long. Spiders usually appear in groups of two to five, and Gold Spiders usually appear in groups of two to three after Luigi finds them.
Spiders and Gold Spiders reappear in Luigi's Mansion 3. Rather than being red, Spiders in this game resemble black widow spiders. Additionally, regular Spiders drop multiple Bills when defeated.
