Snowball Park, otherwise known as World 3-1, is the first course of World 3 in Super Mario 3D World. This level consists mostly of snow and ice terrain. Since it is the first level of the world, there are no unlocking criteria besides unlocking the world itself. This is one of the only two levels in the game, the other being Ty-Foo Flurries, to feature the Ice Skate that can be stolen from Goombas. This is also the second level to feature the Super Leaf, and the first where the player can find it in a ? Block. The music heard in this course is an arrangement of the music that plays in the snow levels from Super Mario 3D Land.

The background of the Snow theme of the Super Mario 3D World style in Super Mario Maker 2 appears to be based on Snowball Park, except it is set in the daytime.[1]

Layout

The level starts in a snowy area with some Snow Pokeys nearby. After avoiding some more Snow Pokeys, a squadron of Para-Biddybuds, and a Goomba in an Ice Skate which the player can choose to ride in, they reach the Checkpoint Flag. An icy area with more Goombas in Ice Skates follows, followed by some more enemies and icy walkways. The player can now enter a nearby pipe in order to get to an area containing some trees and the Goal Pole.

Collectables

Green Stars

  • Green Star 1: In a hole in a wall guarded by nine Para-Biddybuds.
  • Green Star 2: After the checkpoint, a small Rabbit contains this Green Star.
  • Green Star 3: Just before the pipe that leads to the end of the level, the player should climb the tree and use Tanooki Mario or a Propeller Box to fly over to the Green Star that is in a wall.

Stamp

Para-Biddybud Stamp from Super Mario 3D World.
  • After the second green star, the stamp is on a narrow ice path. The stamp is a Para-Biddybud.
