Snippys
Template:Species-infobox A Snippys[1] (alternately pluralized Snippies[2]), originally known as Snaps[3], are enemies from Donkey Kong Country Returns and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. They are orange crabs that can be defeated using any attack method. They have stronger variants known as Pinchlys.

Donkey Kong Country Returns / Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D
In Donkey Kong Country Returns Snippys are mostly featured in the levels of the Beach world, but they also appear in the Ruins level, Mast Blast, and in the Cliff level, Tippy Shippy. Snippys move from side to side and can only hurt Donkey Kong or Diddy Kong if they come in contact with them. They also have a tendency to chase the Kongs, changing direction towards them when avoided. Snippys can be defeated with a jump, a roll attack or by throwing a barrel at them.
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
A Snippys makes a minor appearance on the title screen of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, where it wanders around on the beach. In a piece of concept artwork from the game, a Snippys-looking crab with large claws is seen mounted on a weapon-like stick carried by an enemy called "Krob, the Konqueror".
