Snippys
Template:Species-infobox Snapses[1] (singular: Snaps), also called Snippys[2][page number needed], are enemies appearing in Donkey Kong Country Returns and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. They are small orange crabs that can be defeated using any attack method. They have stronger variants known as Pinchlys.

In Donkey Kong Country Returns Snapses are mostly featured in the levels of the Beach world, but they also later appear in the Ruins level, Mast Blast, and later in the Cliff level, Tippy Shippy. Snapses move from side to side and can only hurt Donkey Kong or Diddy Kong if they come in contact with them. They also have a tendency to chase the Kongs, meaning that they change direction when the Kongs jump over one. Snapses can be defeated with a jump, a roll attack or by throwing a barrel at them.
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
A Snaps makes a minor appearance on the title screen of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, where it wanders on the beach. A Snaps-looking crab with large claws is seen mounted on a weapon-like stick carried by an enemy called "Krob, the Konqueror" in a piece of concept artwork found in the game.
