A demonstration of the move

Snack Basket is a Bros. Attack used in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and its Nintendo 3DS remake, Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey, which is unlocked after acquiring all 10 Dimble Wood Attack Pieces.

When using this attack, Luigi will eat falling cookies and other sweets while the player controls him with the +Control Pad. As a result of his snacking, Luigi gets very fat; Mario then grabs him and begins to try to toss him into the air. The player must rapidly mash A Button here to aid Mario. After that, Luigi will initiate a Ground Pound-esque attack by pushing the B Button button at the correct time. When Luigi lands, a big shockwave will hit all of the enemies on solid ground. Levitating or flying enemies can dodge this move. In order to get an "Excellent", the player must: 1) miss no more than 2 pieces of food while controlling Luigi with the +Control Pad 2) raise Luigi fully while mashing A Button 3) press B Button at exactly the right time (namely, right after Luigi has attained his full height after being thrown). After Luigi has finished the attack, he will shrink down to his normal size. This attack costs fourteen SP in the original game and eighteen BP in the remake.

This, Green Shell, Mighty Meteor and Yoo Who Cannon are the only required Bros. Attacks in this game; Snack Basket is required because it is the only attack that can knock the Star Sage Chakron out of his thousand year pose so the bros can acquire the third and final Star Cure.

In Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey, the player can make Luigi jump upwards by pressing B Button while he is trying to eat the food so he can eat them much earlier. The food is also more spread out.
