Template:Location-infobox The Shuriken Dojo is a location in Paper Mario: The Origami King. It is a notable attraction of Shogun Studios. It is found northwest of the Souvenir Shop, north of the Info Center, and southeast of the Dress-Up Photo Studio. Mario is able to play a minigame here allowing him to earn various prizes. He is required to play a minimum of one round to earn the Baseball, but can play more rounds at different difficulties to unlock more prizes, including items, a collectible treasure, and even a trophy.

There is a problem at first - the owner of the dojo is missing. Mario must locate and rescue him in the staff room on the east side of the park. He is then able to return to the dojo and man the booth, but is unable to run the minigame due to missing his Shuriken. As such, Mario must recover a set from a Ninji in the park and give them to the owner. He is then able to set up the minigame and explain the rules to Mario. Mario must swing his hammer on each of the five slinging stations to fire a shuriken. He must try to hit one of the targets passing by. Some pop up from the ground, some slide to the other side, and some rotate between two different amounts. The number on the target is the amount of points Mario receives for hitting it. Normally, Mario must be careful not to hit any targets scoring negative points.

With the Commoner Pass, this minigame costs 500 coins for a round of normal play and 800 coins for a round of expert play. With a Royalty Pass, Mario can play either round for free, for unlimited rounds. Mario is able to practice for free regardless of his current pass. In order to advance in the story, Mario must select a round of normal play. His goal is to accumulate 21 points - no more and no less. If he goes over the target score, he must strategically hit negative targets to balance it out. Once his score reaches 21 exactly, the minigame ends. As a reward, he earns the baseball, the next item used in a string of trades.

After this, Mario can play an expert round. His goal here is to rack up as many points as possible, while trying not to lose any. A target can be worth up to 8 points. Mario is required to score 80 points to receive a prize - Collectible Treasure #44: Paper Macho Koopa Troopa. Once both the collectible and the baseball have been given away, these items are replaced by battle items.

A chart in the southeast corner of the dojo depicts Mario's high score next to the owner's high score - 99 points. If Mario manages to score higher than this in a round of expert, he receives the Shuriken Master trophy, which is sent to the Musée Champignon.
