The Shooting Rifle is an item found in Sparkleton in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games. In order to get it, Mario or Sonic the Hedgehog has to defeat Princess Peach at the Snow Machine Fight and get her into the party. Then, they have to talk to the Goomba near her and accept his challenge. If Peach completes it, he gives her a Shooting Rifle. It helps Mario and co. to access the shooting missions. It is needed to participate in Biathlon and Ski Shooting missions, and to challenge in these events Knuckles the Echidna and Amy Rose, respectively.
