Template:Levelbox Scorch 'n' Torch, also parsed Scorch N Torch,[1] is the fourth level of Bright Savannah in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.

The level is set in the middle of a wildfire, and introduces Water Sacks. These can be used to extinguish flaming grass, vines and, occasionally, Porcupals. The leaves on branches are temporary platforms that slowly turn to ashes when stepped on. Broad patches of ground, called Fire Floor[2], will begin to sizzle as soon as the Kongs step on them, inflicting damage if they stay too long in that spot. Fire Floor can be remarked by the glowing coals beneath them; Fluffs can often be seen jumping on it, but hitting the Kongs causes them to linger too long on the Fire Floor and get burned.

Donkey Kong will find the first Water Sack under a plug at the start of the level, which can be used to put out a fire, or defeat enemies. A Porcupal is be found after the Water Sack. Amidst the wildfire, the Kongs encounter platforms made of wilted leaves, which disintegrate upon being jumped on. swinging ropes lit on fire, and platforms made of wilted leaves. There is a pile of Water Sacks, allowing Donkey Kong to use as many of them as required. A DK Barrel is then found, along with flaming ropes above a patch of burning grass. The Kongs can use a Water Sack to put out the fire on a rope to get across. After a group of enemies, a rope that is completely on fire is found above a pit, which can be doused by some nearby Water Sacks. After jumping off the rope, they land on a tree, which begins to burn down and sink into the pit below, forcing them to jump to the next platform where the first checkpoint lies.

The Kongs then encounter an Archy and Flaming Falling Totem Poles, which are fiery Screaming Pillars from Donkey Kong Country Returns, as well as cracked parts of the ground which, upon landing on one, emit fire. In these cases, Donkey Kong can permanently put out the heat using a Water Sack. Another group of Water Sacks is found, along with two Porcupals. A Swooper Dooper is found above a platform of wilted leaves. More platforms that catch on fire when Donkey Kong touches them are found, along with more Flaming Falling Totem Poles. A rope with a burning tip is found above a pit, followed by two more ropes above a fiery platform. A patch of Water Sacks is found, along with a portion of the level where drops of fire occasionally rain from the trees in the background. The Kongs then need to cross another fire pit past three burning trees, where the second checkpoint is found.

After the second checkpoint, the Kongs must cross more wilted leaves, and another Archy is found. Three ropes serve as obstacles and are wholly lit on fire, forcing the Kongs to duck under them. A DK Barrel is found, followed by Fluffs jumping on the ground, causing it to emit fire. A Burlap Hanging Sack is found, and can be broken by a Water Sack on a Flaming Falling Totem Pole. Another Flaming Falling Totem Pole is found, along with a tree with rows of fireballs falling off. After jumping between ropes over another pit of fire, the Kongs enter a Barrel Cannon, launching them to another hot surface, where the Slot Machine Barrel is found bouncing along it.
