Rolling Yoshi Hills, or Acorn Plains-3, is the third course of Acorn Plains in New Super Luigi U. It is unlocked by completing Flame-Gear Tower, and its own completion unlocks Piranha Heights and Piranha Gardens.

Layout

The level begins on a platform, above a large group of rolling hills. A Monty Mole is found to the left of the platform. Two other platforms are found above the rolling hills, and a Hidden Block containing a 1-Up Mushroom is found above one of them. Another section of ground follows, leading to a large rolling hill, a Monty Mole, a ? Block containing a Yoshi's Egg, and a bush with a berry on it. Some Semisolid Platforms with Monty Moles and berries on them are found. Some coins can be found in sections of the wall. A platform above Piranha Plants is found, followed by a row of Brick Blocks with a Koopa Troopa on it. A Flying ? Block containing a 1-Up Mushroom is above the platform, and a POW Block is also found. Another section of rolling hills and Monty Moles is follows, and another POW Block can be found. More rolling hills are found, along with the Goal Pole.

Star Coins

  • Star Coin 1: Luigi must kick a Koopa Shell into a hole, where the first Star Coin resides.
  • Star Coin 2: Luigi must stomp on Piranha Plants using Yoshi to get the first Star Coin, or alternatively use a Koopa Shell to get rid of them, and get the Star Coin safely.
  • Star Coin 3: Luigi must run on the rolling hills at the end of the level, then Flutter Jump using Yoshi to get the third Star Coin, which is located right before the Goal Pole. Alternatively, Peachette can jump to reach it in New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe.

Before the second POW Block, there is a gray spot on one of the rock pillars that resembles a jumping Luigi.
