“Ummmm, mister? You know where the coral reef is, right? There's something sparkling out there... I'm sure of it. That look in your eyes! I've seen it before! Go get 'em!”
Pianta, Super Mario Sunshine

Red Coins in the Coral Reef is the sixth episode of Gelato Beach in Super Mario Sunshine. The episode's objective is to collect eight red coins in the coral reef.

Layout

Eight red coins are scattered around Gelato Beach's coral reef, which is located behind the Surf Cabana on the opposite side of the beach from where the player starts. Six of the red coins are placed within the reef itself, whereas the other two are grouped with a school of red fish. If the school scatters into a rock or the ground, the red coin will disappear with them, though the group will return elsewhere after a few seconds. Collecting all eight of the red coins will have the Shine Sprite appear over one of the reef's rocks.
