Piplup
Template:Character-infobox Piplup is a Water-type Pokémon that first appeared in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. It evolves to Prinplup at level 16, which evolves to Empoleon at level 36, and along with Turtwig and Chimchar, it is one of the Starter Pokémon of the Sinnoh region. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, it can be spawned from a Poké Ball and attacks by using Surf; when summoned, it will create a wave around itself and dash towards an end of the stage, pushing any opponent that gets caught along with it. It will move in the other direction if it hits a wall, and will not stop moving even if it falls off the stage.
In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, it is replaced by Oshawott as a Poké Ball Pokémon. However, Piplup makes a cameo appearance in Kalos Pokémon League stage in the Wii U version.

When it walks on land, it waddles and even falls over sometimes, all in a suitable cuit way. But once it's in the water, you'll see its true potential. It's a skilled swimmer and can dive for over 10 minutes at a time to hunt. |
