The patch in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!

The Patch is an item found in the game Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. Funky Kong requires it in order to patch up the hole in his Hover Craft.

When Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong defeat Arich in Kremwood Forest, it drops a Patch. By returning to Funky's Rentals, Funky Kong states that the patch is exactly what he needs to finish repairing his Hover Craft. The patch covers a hole in the Hover Craft's inflated tube. To repay the Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong, he allows them to use the Hovercraft at any time.

Trivia

  • The patch is either on the left or right side of the Hover Craft depending on the artwork of the Hover Craft. In the Hover Craft's standalone artwork the patch is on the left side, while in the promotional photo featuring Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong it is on the right side. This artwork is reversed in both the American and European box art of the original Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble, meaning that the Patch is on the left side of the Hovercraft.
