Paper Swoop

Paper Swoops are paper forms of Swoops that appear as enemies in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam. In battle, Paper Swoops can attack by aligning their copies horizontally with one of the Mario Brothers, then spinning into him one by one from a random height. Swoops can also attack by flying above one of the Mario Bros., and they must be hit with a hammer to prevent them from attacking another bro. A third attack involves them flying towards one of the bros. at a random height. Some of the Paper Swoops fly sideways, causing the bro to be bounced higher if he jumps on them. Paper Swoops are found during the second visit to Twinsy Tropics Dungeon, where they can be fought alongside Horned Ant Troopers.

Rare, shiny variants can also appear in place of the regular Paper Swoops in the same area. These Paper Swoops have greater stats and always drop either an Ultrasyrup Jar or a paper POW Scarf when defeated, though their methods of attack remain the same.
