Paper Sombrero Guy

Paper Sombrero Guys appear as enemies in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam. Paper Sombrero Guys are encountered at the lower level of Mount Brrr and in Neo Bowser Castle. They only have four options for their turn: Either they attack by throwing sombreros at the Trio or just the Bros., giving all their allies the POW-Up status, or fleeing with no experience given. They rarely attack, and are more likely to power up their allies or run away from the fight. It doesn't get hit by a First Strike, even if all the enemies were defeated in one hit. Paper Sombrero Guys are the only Paper Mario-exclusive enemies to appear in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam.
Rare, shiny variants can also appear in place of the regular Paper Sombrero Guys in the same areas. These Paper Somrero Guys have greater stats, though their methods of attack remain the same, and the ones in Mount Brrr will always drop a Super Candy and LV 1 Character Card when defeated, with the ones in Neo Bowser Castle always dropping a Max Mushroom and Shiny Battle Card when defeated.
