The Mini Paulines are toys designed by the Mario Toy Company after Pauline. They first appeared in Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem! and returned in Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move and Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars. They are playable in the Main Game and the Construction Zone (Create and Share in Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move). They also appear in the Toy Collection on Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move. The player can also unlock Mini Paulines in both games.

HistoryEdit

Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem!Edit

Mini Paulines first appear in Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem!. In the beginning of the game's story mode, they are given to the first 100 guests in the park. Donkey Kong tries to obtain one, but is customer number 101, causing him to go on a rampage and kidnap the real Pauline once Mario says that there are no more left. After the player beats Plus Mode, they witness the second ending, where Mario finally gives Donkey Kong a Mini Pauline.

Mini Paulines also appear during gameplay. They are the last kind of mini to appear in a level in the game, as they are introduced in gameplay in the seventh world of the game, Cannon Cove. They are stuck in a capsule at the beginning of each level, but can be freed and have to be taken to their own doors to complete the level. In Plus Mode, they first appear in the fourth world of the game, Warped Mansion. Outside of the fourth level of an attraction, they act identically to Mini Marios; however, all the minis in the level (regardless of which level it is) must be taken to the door in the right order. Mini Paulines are always the last type of mini to enter the door.

Mini Paulines are unlocked in the Construction Zone for Multi-Door after the player defeats Donkey Kong in Cannon Cove. To unlock them for the same mode for the other levels, the player has to get 100% (or at least close to 100%) for both Normal Mode and Plus Mode on at least one file.

Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the MoveEdit

In Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move, after completing every minigame once in Minigames Mode, the player can use Mini Paulines.

In this game, Mini Pauline's appearance is slightly redesigned: it no longer has dress straps, and has pink lips and ball-shaped hands instead of "C"-shaped ones, and a more updated hair and body shape. In the Toy Collection mode, Mini Pauline also has its own version of the game's theme song. Furthermore, as an homage to Pauline's earlier appearances, Mini Pauline shouts, "Help! Help!" when it is in danger and waves at the player in the Toy Collection mode, similarly to how Pauline waves in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis during the opening scenes.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping StarsEdit

Mini Paulines reappear in Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars.

Once again, just like the other games, they act exactly the same as the other mini toys, including the newly-introduced Mini Luigi. They aren't found in the Main Game until Dashing Desert in Level 5-2. They appear later in other levels, and even participate in all Multi-Door levels since Dashing Desert. They also appear in a couple of Bonus Levels.

To unlock them for use in the Workshop, the player must buy them for 100 stars in the Gameplay Set section of the Workshop Store.

Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo ChallengeEdit

Mini Pauline is the only mini not physically present in Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge, as there is no Pauline amiibo. However, a Mini Pauline can be seen in one screenshot on an in-game advertisment for Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars.
