Mimics are enemies appearing in the game Donkey Kong Country Returns, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. They only show up in silhouette stages, such as Sunset Shore or Busted Bayou; as such, they look like shadow bushes with legs and glowing yellow eyes. At first, Mimics stay in one place, pretending to be actual bushes. When one of the Kongs walks by them, Mimics start chasing them in an attempt to hurt them. These enemies can be taken out by a stomp or by rolling into them. Exclusively in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze exists a variation of Mimics called Large Mimics.

Trivia

• The noises they make are similar to Deku Scrubs from the The Legend of Zelda series.
