Template:Character-infobox Meowth is a Normal-type Pokémon that first appeared in Pokémon Red Version and Pokémon Green Version. It evolves into Persian at level 28. As of Generation VII, it also has an Alolan variant that is a Dark-type Pokémon, capable of evolving in Alolan Persian when leveled up with high friendship.
In Super Smash Bros., it attacks using Pay Day, shooting coins in four directions. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, it instead shoots coins to the left or right, turning to the direction of the nearest opponent when necessary.

- Meowth's trophy and its description in Super Smash Bros. Melee references Meowth's Party, one of the ending segments of the Pokémon anime in Japan, with a tech demo under the same name and with a similar premise later shown off for the Nintendo GameCube.
