That's a Megabite. It's an evil skull that soars through the skies... Max HP is 4 and Attack is 1. It will only take 1 damage per attack... It will eventually fly off, so don’t worry about defeating it every time... No one knows where they come from or where they go...

Megabites are evil skulls that appear in the game Super Paper Mario. The waving purple tails coming out of their skulls gives them a vaguely fish-like appearance. Their name is a portmanteau of "megabyte," a measurement in computing, and "bite."

Megabites swoop down from the sky at the heroes, dealing 1 damage with each hit. No matter how high the heroes' attack power is, Megabites will only take 1 damage per hit. With 4 HP, it will take four hits to defeat. Its location is not specific; it tends to appear in various locations at 3 to 5 minutes. The known locations where the enemy has been sighted include Chapter 1-3 (one area where the red palm tree is located, and another with the Yold Signpost), Chapter 2-1 (in the area with the Star Block), Chapter 2-2 (in the front yard), Chapter 3-1 (in the area with the red pipes), Chapter 3-4 (in the castle entrance), Chapter 4-2 (where the outhouse is found and the area after it), Chapter 5-1 (in the area with the first three rows of blocks), and Chapter 5-2 (in the area with the Water Tablet and another with the Fire Tablet). If the player does not defeat a Megabite after about seven swoops, the enemy will flee and leave the player with no points. Megabites also have a chance of dropping items such as a Shooting Star, a Thunder Rage, or, more rarely, a Catch Card SP, as well as lots of coins.
