Mario's Super Wall Kick
Template:Missionbox Mario's Super Wall Kick, or Wall Kicks Will Work in Super Mario 64, is the sixth mission of Cool, Cool Mountain in both Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS.
Layout
To obtain this Power Star, Mario must either make use of the cannon in this level, found at the base of the mountain near the exit cabin for the big slide, or utilize a Spindrift and float down, or fall to the bottom at the start of the level and lands on the other side of the large pit. Like all cannons in the game, Mario must first speak to a Bob-omb Buddy to be able to use it. The Buddy is located on a small floating island along the path of the gondola that is just to the left of the cannon. With the cannon, Mario must shoot himself to the tree on the other side of the level in order to prevent sliding off the platform. Then he must make his way along a narrow cliff with a couple of Spindrifts, and then Long Jump across a pit. On the other side, Mario must run up the first slope and Wall Jump to another sloped platform. Now running the other way up this platform, the player should Triple Jump and Wall Kick at the apex of the jump. Additionally, there is a Spinning Heart at the base of the crevice should Mario take any fall damage. Once on the last platform, Mario will need to cross the narrow ice bridge here and claim the Power Star.
In the DS version of the game, only Mario and Luigi (or another character wearing Mario's or Luigi's cap) can complete this mission as only Mario has access to the Wall Jump, while Luigi can reach the star with his backflip. Additionally, the narrow bridge that leads to the star at the top has been widened. Otherwise, the objective is the same.
