Three origami beetles pop out of a rock near station 5 after it is hammered. One of them, a green one, scurries away while the other two remain in the area. Autumn Mountain

Right off the tram is a crumpled Green Toad who runs the tram. The first hidden Toad in Autumn Mountain

Right behind the tram is a pile of giant coins. There is also a Yellow Toad disguised as a yellow leaf in the northeast corner. Hidden Toad 3
On the edge of the dried-up lake is a crumpled Red Toad next to the sign. Hidden Toad 4
To the right end of the patch of tall, dry grass is a secret entrance to a small cave with a Red Toad stuck in the ground. Pulling him out rescues him and earns Mario a MAX UP Heart, earning him five extra health points. Hidden Toad 5

On the platform across the bridge is a tree Mario can hammer to drop down a red leaf, revealed to be a Red Toad. Hidden Toad 9
On the adjacent platform is a Not-Bottomless Hole in the wall shaped like a mushroom. When repaired, it is revealed to be a door to an office. In the center is a Red Toad stuck in a fax machine. Pulling him out both rescues the Toad and unlocks fax travel to the charging station and offices.
On the left side of the Water Vellumental Shrine is a small, narrow cave. Mario must walk into and up to a large stone. Hitting it pushes it off the ledge, proving a platform to reach and rescue a Red Toad taped to the wall.
On the right side of the temple, on the ledge where the shortcut pipe is, Mario must hammer the tree to drop down a Red Toad disguised as a red leaf.
Upon entering the shortcut pipe, Mario reaches a high area with a Red Toad disguised as a red dragonfly.
Mario must drop off the shortcut area on the shack, where there is a Red Toad disguised as a red beetle on the wall. Mario must hammer a nearby shrub to reveal a Magic Circle, then use the 1,000-Fold Arms to knock him off.
While crossing the temple bridge and avoiding origami Cheep Cheeps, Mario may spot a Red Toad disguised as a red origami fish leaping in and out of the water between the middle platform.
After refilling the lake, Mario can reach the tree next to a pile of boats. He can then hammer the tree to drop down a trio of Red Toads, each disguised as a leaf.
Next to this tree is a pile of boats with a crumpled Red Toad under them.
On top of the pile of boats and a few crates is a yellow leaf revealed to be a Yellow Toad.
In the hidden area behind the tram is a small pile of leaves with a Toad trapped inside.
There is an origami monkey atop a stack of tuna cans. He cannot be reached or rescued until after an extensive story mission. First, Mario and Olivia must pick up a can of tuna, walk into the field of dry grass and locate the Spike, then locate the Bone Goomba in a conga line. After that, he must lead them to a small, secluded area outside of the field where the Sombrero Guy awaits. Finally, Mario must give the Bone Goomba the can of tuna. After it pops it open, Mario simply needs to give the opened can to the monkey, luring it off its ledge and allowing Mario to hammer it to rescue the last Toad.

Chestnut Valley

Mario must hammer the tree at the top of the second sloped section to drop down a chestnut, which breaks open to reveal a yellow origami crown. Mario must hammer it to reveal a trio of Toads.
After defeating the trio of Galoombas, Mario must hammer their tree to drop down a trio of Toads.
There is a small hole in the ground in the back of the chestnut maze. Mario must hammer it to reveal a red scroll, which he must then pull out of the hole to reveal it as a Toad.
At the end of the level is an origami butterfly Mario must hammer to reveal it as a Toad.

Water Vellumental Shrine

There is a Red Toad disguised as a red beetle in the southwest corner of the main room, climbing on the wall above a Not-Bottomless Hole. A Toad found in the Water Vellumental Shrine.
There is a Blue Toad in a window below the wheel. A Toad found in the Water Vellumental Shrine.
There is another Blue Toad in a window in the room with the smaller stone dragon head. Mario must use the tunnel in the east wall and walk up to the window and hammer it on the outside to drop it down, then hammer it to reveal the Toad. A Toad found in the Water Vellumental Shrine.

Shogun Studios

Shogun Studios
Love Toad is found folded into a heart outside the gates and next to the Warp Pipe.
A red Toad is folded into an origami fan in a building near the Souvenir Shop.
The owner of the Fun, Funky, and Functional accessory shop is hiding behind a small structure.
After fixing a Not-Bottomless Hole in the wall of a door, Mario must enter it and unfold the origami flower into a Toad.
To the left of the previous building, Mario must defeat the Folded Soldier Shy Guy and hammer the drawers to release three Toads.
In a house, the cushion must be hammered to reveal an origami cat Toad sitting on the other side.
South of the house with three doors is a Toad folded onto one of the ladders.
In the Tranquil Pipes Teahouse, Mario must hammer a cushion to reveal a Toad.
Mario must hammer open an umbrella south of the Tranquil Pipes Teahouse to reveal a Toad.
An origami dog Toad is barking at Princess.
In a house on the right side of the main road leading to Big Sho' Theater, Mario must hammer the hat to free a Toad.

An origami dragonfly Toad is flying near the three potted plants right of the Save Block.
In the Ninji training area, Mario must hammer a lantern to reveal a Magic Circle. He then should use the 1,000-Fold Arms to knock down a folded Toad lantern.
In the Ninji training area, Mario must jump on the crates and hammer a lantern on the left side.
An origami dragonfly Toad is flying outside the staff room.
In the staff room, on the cabinet is a folded Toad.
In the staff room, Mario must open the left locker to reveal a Toad.
In the staff room, Mario must pull a staff Toad out of the mouth of the Goomba Mask.
In the staff room, Mario must hammer the trash can and flatten the Toad inside.
Outside the Shuriken Dojo, Mario must hammer the small shuriken stuck to the sign, folding it back into a Toad.
In the Dress-Up Photo Studio, a Toad is trapped in a frame on the left side.
In a house near the Lookout Tower, Mario must pull a Toad out of some clothing hanging on the right side.
Mario must hammer the sign on the roof of the Dress-Up Photo Studio to free a Toad.
Mario must hammer the bell on the Lookout Tower 30 times in a row to reveal a Toad.
A staff Toad is stuck inside the bell tower and is freed when the tape is removed from the door and the Paper Macho Koopa Troopa is defeated.
In one house, four Toads have been folded into a grasshopper, a scarab, a bonsai tree, and a butterfly.
After freeing the previous Toads, Mario must jump on the drawers and hammer a hole in the wall. A Toad is folded up as a fish in this room.
In the room leading to the Dry Bones, Mario must hammer to reveal a ? Block and then jump on it to push an origami flower Toad out of its pot.
A staff Toad is folded up in the stable next to Princess.
Near the training Ninjis, one house contains three Toads hiding in a pile of ash.
A Toad is stuck in the satellite office that leads to the Sensor Lab.
In a building before the House of Riddles, four Toads are stuck in the lanterns.
In the Souvenir Shop, Mario must rescue the shop owner by using the Shogun Studios Master Key to open the door and find the Toad.
A Toad is folded as a fish and can be rescued by fishing at the south end of the park.

Ninja Attraction

A Toad is taped to the roof located left of the attraction's sign.
A scarab-shaped Toad is found under a rock located right of the entrance.
In the maintenance room, a Toad is trapped under some boxes and must be pulled out.
Taped to the back of the middle locker in the maintenance area.

Shroom City

A beetle on the pillar above the building near the entrance. Mario should get onto the roof by walking behind it from the right.
On the entrance sign. Mario must knock it off by jumping from the roof onto the see-saw opposite the Snifit.
Inside the sign for the record shop (building to the right of the hotel).
In the record shop (middle of three doors in the building to the right of the hotel), folded into a record on the right wall.
In a hole on the wall behind two breakable crates north of the lake.

On a palm tree that can be accessed by jumping on the hidden block by the stall north of the lake.
Inside the spotlight to the left of the hotel entrance. Mario must jump onto the railing from the barrels in the raised middle section of town.
Under the crates that can be accessed by going through the lamp shop.
Among the crates in the section right of the pool.
Being used as a surfboard by a Snifit in the hotel pool.
Under the baggage trolley in the hotel lobby; the trolley must be pushed to the side using the hammer.
Inside a vase in the right wing of the hotel.
A stack tied up southwest of the lake, behind the accessory shop. Only accessible when the sun comes out.

The Princess Peach

In the first floor elevator room, there is a crumpled Toad in the southwest corner.
There is a purple polka dot vase in the lounge revealed to be another Toad when hammered.
When climbing the stairs connecting the first and second floors, Mario ends up stepping on the head of a Toad, startling him and Bob-omb.
In the first basement room, there is a Toad trapped underneath a crate.
In the second basement room, Mario must walk through the gap in the railing to find a Toad entrapped in the crates.
In the second floor elevator room, there is a Toad stuck underneath the black goop, just in front of the barricaded door.
Several Toads are rescued after defeating Gooper Blooper, including the captain.

Full Moon Island

There is a pile of leaves with an origami rabbit where a Toad will be revealed when hammered.
Once the Sidestepper has been caught, an origami fish can be fished out of the fishing spot. A Toad will be revealed when hammered.
Once the middle of the island is brought up, another origami fish can be found flopping on the western side of the island.
