Those powerful pectoral fins can turn them into a dangerous airborne threat. Besides Mario games, you can find them in the oceans of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. This critter was also the inspiration for the Cheep Charger in Mario Kart Wii. These puffy fish use their strong fins to launch themselves high into the air. And they've not only made appearances in the Mario series—they're also bobbing around in the water in The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening! They were also the inspiration for the Cheep Charger in Mario Kart Wii.
